If instaling b9s is possible with the "keep the boring update coming edition" worked, yes I instaled it. I used this link github.com/zoogie/b9sTool/releases/tag/v5.0.1. But as "Paula" said, if it's just a tool maybe I need something else. Also when I extract the boot.firm file there was a message of Windows telling me the method is strange and unknown. Could it be the source of my problems ?

Just to clarify this happens because Windows doesn't know what a .firm file is since you don't have any programs using it. This message will appear when you open any unknown file type. Try opening a .CIA file for example or a .3DS file. Windows doesn't know how to use them unless you have a program that you tell Windows to use the file with it. It has nothing to do with if the file is corrupted or not.

It doesn't. I didn't try to open it but when I extract the file Windows is telling me that the method is always unknown. Is it possible that during the extraction an error could occurs ? And I always put this file on the root of the 3DS.

The problem is only the SD card about the unability to launch the Luma program ? To open Luma I should press Select and then turn on my console right ?

Could it be also because I hacked my console before with the Steelhax method without finalising it ? I follow this tutorial and I just finished section 2 without being able to start the section 3.

This tutorial : 3ds.hacks.guide/installing-boot9strap-(fredtool).

Now it is getting confusing.

At some point a boot exploit must have been installed if you get the “blue light on → off – nothing” effect. Following [installing-boot9strap-(fredtool)] without completing Section III will not do that. Steelhax alone will not do that either.

Have you ever seen this on your console? – while your previous attempt with Steelhax or while the second attempt with Fredtool:

No I didn't have this screen thank you to put this. I try to tell you but I can't show pics. I instal b9s and then a pop up asking me if I want to go to the home menu but then no screen like this.

There is not much left…
  1. Download Luma again and extract boot.firm to freshly FAT32 formatted SD cards.
  2. If this does nothing on two different FAT32 formatted SDs:
    • Delete boot.firm from the SD(s).
    • Download GodMode9.
    • Then extract the archive.
    • Rename the file "GodMode9.firm" to boot.firm and copy this boot.firm to the SD(s).
  3. If this also fails, I’ve no idea. It should be possible to start the console with an ntrboot compatible flashcart.

I think you find the problem guys ! The pop up from Windows tells me other messages when I extract boot.firm. It showed me "error in the processus of extraction". With my father we tried versions inferiors and it doesn't work. Do you have any tips to extract better the file boot.firm. Thsnk you a lot I am regaining hope !

And that's all for this screen ?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Oh my God I can't show you but it worked fine. The boot.firm CAN NOT be extracting by rar. Thank you all very much but I think that I will take off this hack, hacking is definitely not for me. If you have advices on how to unhack a new 3DS, it will be my final question. And also how can I do a back up ?

No, do not uninstall hax. It is dangerous. You already finished. If you want to backup, you need hax.
This:https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup
Will backup every important file you need. After that, you're good to go.
Even if a brick happens and its not a brick related to the LEDs, (you shouldn't worry about that) you can 99.999999% recover from the brick.
This is my advice.
If you still insist and you want to "unhack" your 3DS, this is the link:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/uninstall-cfw
The guide tells you this already, but this can brick your 3DS with no way to recover.

Okay. Calm down. Take a break. Looks like everything is gonna be fine.

The hard part is done and forward is easier than backwards. My advise: Don’t remove the hacks. B9S is solid and makes no trouble, even if you don’t want to use homebrew software.

There are virtually no risks if you don’t do anything stupid on purpose. You can’t brick the device by having and using Luma – and you can make backups of the complete system which is impossible without hacks. With homebrew software you can also store your saves in decrypted form if your 3DS is destroyed or lost at some point, you can restore them anyway.

In addition to the downloads from the finalizing page you will need boot.3dsx and you can copy your Nintendo 3DS and DCIM folder back on the SD.

Your SD should look like this before you proceed with the [French version] finalizing setup:
DemoSD.png

The hack is not transferred when using the official transfer app.
