I see your point, I don't think that the current FWs & Kernels can do it, but maybe it can be coded into a Fixed-Kernel in order to try to fix your cards. It could be a good idea.

More baseless conjecture. Provide substantiated evidence before continuing to spread the false information. You're welcome to point out where on the schematic you can see where there'd be a correlation between an increase in current (the power is supplied from a completely different component).

Firstly if we look at the CPU and the power input... Yup. Totally all normal. This seems to control at least *some* of the power to the game cart slot. Okay pins 5-36(cart slot output) accounted for, the cart slot also receives VDD independently from the CPU voltage out.

So we take a look at the LCD connector and wait, what?? it's managed completely separately? the power is drawn elsewhere and is filtered? Essentially the limiting factor would then become the batteries? but that's not what you're saying at all... hmmmm

@RetroKarl my test system is an original, unmodified GBC. (CGB-CPU-D if you must know.)

@DrunkenMonk , Lol, you're right, you caught me, I created all the accounts of the people having issues with backlight screens in DMG, GBC & GBA systems, just mmm to have some fun, I guess? Everything you're saying is right, well I think, well idk. What I know is that Bertrand Russell said "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts." You're welcome...Buddy

@aaaaaa123456789 Ok, that's good to know. So, the bad behaviour/installation can lead to a bricked card (I hope it's not), and if so, I think there's hope to save them "System on chip level recovery mode, prevent upgrade dead" This is an statement from the official web site. And maybe it is plausable the @Ninoh-FOX idea to bypass the menu to boot the update with a modded Kernel. But right now, I think that the only thing to do (meanwhile we wait for an answer from the dev team @EZ-Flash2 ) is to try with FW4 & K1.04e, if you can pair it with a fast microSD card, maybe it could help, also create a folder called "SAVER" on the root of the microSD, Try to remove the Battery of the EZFJr, and reinstall it after a couple of minutes. Also re format your microSD, right now we don't know if the bad installation can also lead to a file system corruption of the microSD. And finally, always that you're copying archives from compressed files to a microSD, extract them first in your HDD, and then copy them to the microSD. All this, just to eliminate any extra possibilities. If you think that you already tested them together, I guess we can only wait for the developer. Or test in another system. Cheers.

The SD card is not corrupted and the file system is OK. I checked several times. The files still match hashes. Pointlessly repeating the same steps over and over isn't going to be productive.

Figured I'd reduce your post down to what you meant.
You are the only one here using conjecture and saying it as absolute without the slightest doubt in what you're saying is true.

I posted offering a solution to people and two people randomly started immediately tryng to tear it down based on something they read somewhere on the internet without any actual hard evidence or logical reason behind what they were saying. Obviously you know everything with your engineering degree though and profound understanding of the GBC that the rest of us don't have.

How about we call a truce here, it's senseless to continue if you're not going to provide substantial evidence to your claim. I provided evidence as to why I believe what I was saying is true, and you just called me a fool without even coming close to explaining why beyond "you didn't believe in the power of friendship enough"

    Just for information for others.
On GB Boy Colour save feature works fine. I've written that there was a problem with save because I did not wait for save to finish. I thought it was stuck and reset GB Boy and after that zero length save file was created and save feature did not work.
In order for save feature to work correctly you need to wait the save to finish. It may take up to a minute.

Hi folks, an EZFlash JR is coming my way from the east and looking at the five or so last pages I'm acually worried on how to proceed with updates. I am expecting to play games with the RTC, should I install the testflight or go directly with the main page software? Thank you.

Also, did anyone test link cable with real carts? Is the timing good enough to work?

He recommends an unmodded GBC because their are some people that have problems with a modded gbc. He never draws a conclusion that it is caused by the screens so it is not conjecture at all.

You can call it Pokémon Green like everyone else. And no, it won't. It doesn't even have an RTC feature.

Please, don't update to test firmware unless you're part of the test...
