Gaming EZ-Flash IV

When you put GBA rom in the NOR and the battery dies on the EZ-Flash IV does the game erase on your card or your micro sd. Do you get the game save back when you turn on your system and started to play your game?

If the battery dies you will only keep your save if you soft-reset before you turn off the EZ-Flash IV. I would assume that the game would stay on the NOR as it is non-volatile (doesn't require power to keep data). The game will not be erased from the microSD card.

The battery powers the SRAM, that is where your save is. Like any other type of RAM, SRAM will erase your data if there is no power. The NOR used is a type of flash, like what you find in your usb sticks. NOR doesn't require power to continually save your rom that was loaded.

the comments above are correct in that flash memory does not require energy to store information however this also means that you would have had to do some sort of save before your system turned off
