Hacking Ez Flash IV Questions

I just ordered and Ez flash IV (mini SD version) from BambooGaming.
Now, i have a few questions.
the Mini SD version ISNT the compact version right?
and
What firmware is the latest one?

Right, it's not the compact version, I believe that one was only the specific Lite microSD model. And the latest software appears to be the 1.03 version located at the http://www.ezflash.cn site, but linfoxdomain (http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/) has some other downloads. I don't personally have this card (yet?) so I can't really help you out, sorry.

after looking a t their EZ products, the also have a compact one so i (hopefully) havent gone wrong!

also, what nare a few good homebrews for it. i prefer apps over games.

I'm hoping you have a NoPass or FlashMe installed for this thing, unless you're planning on sticking to GBA only.

And for great apps, start with DSOrganize. Because hey, it is awesome.

Nah, GBA only. dont need it for DS. if anything, i'll keep my 3-in-1 for DS gba.

question, what files are used for the firmware and whats that exe file for?

oh and quick question, will a micro sd in a mini sd adaptor work on the EZ IV?

http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/dl...5thJuly2008.zip - try this, it has a readme to tell you what you'd need, but it looks like the exe is for patching DS games, mostly? *shrugs*

Also, yeah, a microSD in a miniSD adapter should work - it's all part of the SD standard, the only real difference between them is the sizes.

People have been pretty much correct so far.
So yes it is the GBA sized one. Note you can also buy microSD to miniSD adapters like you can get microSD/miniSD to SD.

The latest pack is actually a few days old (it came with an updated DS patching dll), I posted it here and it is available from the EZ4 forums Athlon-pv linked to:

In there is also the latest loader (ezfla_up.bin), add it to the root of the card and hold R when booting up the EZ4 (gba or DS mode it does not matter). If continue reading about the EZ4 you may well read about modulo's hacked loaders, the one in there is the RESET loader and the one we suggest you use.
