Opium, great review!!

Do you think you soon could make also a Supercard review, just to compare things?Â
wacko.gif

Or even make a "EZ Flash 3 vs. Supercard" article? That would be great for people to choose what new backup kit is better.Â

Cheers!

I wouldn't mind doing a supercard review, however there's one slight problem. I don't have a supercard.....or a compact flash card for that matter

I'll review supercard with my CF if ya can find me someone who will send one to me

Does anybody know how much the EZ-F III costs on e2city? Their site is down.

BTW< Awesome review Opium, There's no doubt whether or not I will be getting one or not.

Nope but the average price is around 130 bucks I believe. winsunx has had them for quite some time now. I went on yahoo taiwan and we aren't being ripped off, the street price over there apparantly is what we pay on the web. I think that's due to there being too much competition between sites and manufacturers. Of course then again, there's probably a US site selling it for $320 somewhere

I just visited their web page, it has been down for a long time I think. Just click on their contact and send them an email. If they are interested in selling the products, they'll get back to you. I think it'd be easier if they just slapped a price on the page and said click to contact us. Ah well..

Looks like they're based in Canada if that's helpful.

The card layout I want:
1Gb (128MB) flash for storage with compression.
32Mb (8MB) for saves not shared with the 1Gb storage
32Mb (8MB) for OS ROM for managing card functions not shared with 1Gb storage (cheats, saves, loading, etc...)
256Mb (32MB) for moving decompressed ROMs to for play

The save and OS flash would be shared on a single 64Mb (16MB) flash.

Then I want a switch on the cart that movies a bit of plastic up and down on the edge of the cart so it can depress the GB/GBC mode switch on a GBA/SP and then can be used for playing GB/GBC games with all the above functions.

The EZ3 have a standalone 32Mbit (4MB) Flashrom used by OS ROM, so OS ROM not shared with 1Gb EZ-DISK.
The reason of saver storage located on 1Gb EZ-DISK is for the further design, like random delete, copy....

thanks for clearing that one up

I thought the EZ-Flash 3 had another 32mbit of space for the loader alone, but i checked it out in the help file on the cartridge and it didn't list it so I thought I may have been wrong.
I've updated the review now.

anyone tried DracX on the go? wink.gif

does it have music support, how is speed? any graphical glitches?

OPIUM TRY IT NOW!!!! wink.gif

well, I'd love to try it out, but I don't have Dracula X or really know how to use PCEAdvance to make the rom. So err, if someone were to compile the rom for me then pm me, I'd certainly be able to test it out and see how it fairs. *hint hint* *nudge nudge*

great review. this is my first flash cart, and i couldnt imagine having had a better experience with it.

i love my EZ-flash III, and it definitely does keep getting better and better.

i laughed when i read the part about the bright orange GBA cart in the DS, cuz that reminded me so much of how mine looks

Where's the best place to buy the EZ3 atm? E2City is down...
Just curious ('cause hopefully I'll win the lottery and sue a casino soon to be able to buy this and my new mansion).

I got my EZIII from winsunx back in December. I love it. The improvements to the software make it 100x better than it was when I got it. It was my first flashcard and I couldn't be happier with it!

Just a quick question, as someone else said, does this bad boy work with PocketNes and other Emus? I currently have a flash2advance (256) and the last game I put on there is the Zelda Minish Cap, so it's gathering a bit of dust, but part of the reason is because I don't have enough space to load more of these 128mbit games on there. So I'd be interested in picking one of these up, but the most important thing to me would be that it would also be able to run pocketnes flawlessly.

Can anyone let me/us know how that runs?

Thank you.
