Hardware EZ 3 in 1 saving issues

So I load a game to the NOR and take out my R4. Can I save without having the R4 in my DS?

Yes, the save should stay in the SRAM and you would therefore be able to play games flashed to the NOR without your R4.

Yep, just when you want to backup your save to your R4 (say you want to load another game to NOR) you need to load GBA Exploader/Expansion pack tools and select NOR mode, then hit B to backup the SRAM
