Gericom Any news on your fancy tool?

I have been working quite hard on it lately, and I can say, that the cgfx viewer has been improved a lot. I have also added mkds kcl support with a better collision generator and I am working on nkm support. Once nkm is finished, I will start on MK7 kmp.

Conclusion: A lot to do. But I will bring a beta release soon.

Well, I'm talking about NDS NSBMD file format.
Bones are well documented (http://llref.emutalk.net/docs/?file=xml/bmd0.xml) but as far as I can tell, there is no animated mesh viewers.

I never looked into how the models work in DS games, but if you've been looking for information on stuff like this for a while, I doubt it even exists. 3DS-wise, barely anything has been documented. You'll have to wait a bit until people actually have a reason to view and modify models (When there's a public way to recompile roms).

EDIT: Try the response below mine, he's got a ton of experience with DS modeling.

I wasn't aware of this feature Gericom, great news!

But it doesn't work... When I open nsbmd, the NSBMD viewer opens and I loose the focus on main window until I close it.
After loading second file, nothing happens.

By the way, MKDS doesn't work with Gyakuten Kenji 2 NSBMD files.
I'll PM you the link with some of them.

It is for connecting to nitro viewer from the sdk (viewing the model in ensata).

Awesome, thanks! I tried that out and now I can load Spirit Tracks models, animations, and textures! :D

It's kinda buggy, though, and the model viewer's controls are awful. (Plus there's no option to re-center the view...)
Still cool!

I wish I could find Spirit Zelda's name. Spirit Tracks' NPCS are named with four letters...ugh.
