I need some help here, I'm trying to find a way to open up texture files. I will make a list as to the general files I have and what folders they are in.
"() indicates folder"
"(more languages) indicated there was more than one language but they all contained the same file type"

Actors -.lzs
Hint- .jhm (movie) .moflex(slide) .jslide
Kankayo- .lzs
layout- .gar, .mfpj (map9(genbamap(languages) .ctxb (schedule).scd (more languages) .gar
menu- (daytelop(more languages) .ctxb (map (world map) .lzs
message- .gzf (us) .gmsg
os- .ctxb, .RAW, ptxb
scenes- .zsi, .ctxb, .gar
shaders- .shbin
sound- .bcstm

as you can see I have quite a few files to work with, not all the folders are listed since I figured it didnt matter. but if anyone knows anything about these files please let me know.

( i know how to open .RAW and bcstm files)
edit: figured out lzs,gar,ctxb

Looks like (most) the ctxb files will open with the texturipper tool. The .gar files are some sort of archive and almost definitely contains most of what people want out of the game. Taking a poke around shows that there are file lists inside the file. Just a matter of being able to split each file out of it.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
