Hardware Extra dat pins on hardmod

What is risky about soldering to the extra DAT pins? Is it electrically risky due to other components on the SPI bus, or is it mechanically risky due to difficulty in soldering the small contacts right next to each other? Or some other reason?

I've asked before on the chatroom, but never found a clear answer.

Its not risky, just not needed. Soldering all DAT wires will only increase transfer speed.

In fact, assuming you don't screw up due to the extra work, it's also better by 1- increasing compatibility with readers, 2- discouraging fake usb connectors (inb4 fake usb3 port)
