Hacking Extended storage disk with power supplier; safe to leave connected to power or disconnect?

Hi,
i'm using extended storage disk of 8TB is it safe to leave it always connected to power or do you recommend to disconnect after use?
until now i always using the "Stop Using This Extended Storage" option before turning off the ps4.


another question;
is Elden Ring supposed to take around 880GB in size? i feel something is wrong.

It's fine, though some have reported more kp's with usb drives plugged in. That's wrong, elden ring. Did you ever rebuild the database?

never rebuild the database but i just tried that and the size is the same.
the game is installed in the extended storage.

It gets that info from the app.db. it's measured in kilobytes in there iirc. It may be a goldhen mistake.

i reinstall the game and now it's 32GB.
don't know what happened but it's all good now.

must've error'd when it was checking file size during installation, either the base game or patch/backport.
