In the first situation, how do you beat level 10. I can't get the sick woman past the silver block. How do I get her up on the ledge?

You don't. Instead, put her down, then have both your healthy people push that silver block left repeatedly, until it falls; then you can use it as a stepping stone to get down to the exit.
