Set mine to the same but still the problem persists. I'm clueless.

did you set your country/region on system settings? perhaps eshop is under maintenance? is your nnid banned or not?

Not even signed in to a NNID. That wouldn't stop updates from failing.

If it helps. I updated to latest earlier and then formattEd to add my own nnid. Since the format I can't update or use eshop.

Your NFIRM is up to date.
Have you tried to force update the system? Bootup pressing L+R+Up+A (make sure you have internet connection)

Tried that and still get the same error.

odd...Try going to settings and touch the Nintendo network I'd settings on the top.See what that does if that does anything.

I was able to link my nnid perfectly. Still getting the same errors however

I was able to link my nnid perfectly.

Usually it's the nnid that causes this after a format.But since you where on the latest firmware with a9lh on the sysnand,you shouldn't of had any issue.I wonder what causes this to happen.

Can I remove a9lh and start again. Even though sysnand is now 11.2.0-35?

if you were able to log-in to your NNID then i see no reason for you not to be able to access eShop unless there is some kind of eshop maintenance going on right now or nintendo's server is down or something or somehow your 2DS is console banned or something.. was that brand new when you purchased it?

Before I installed a9lh I was stock. I had my other nnid on it and used eshop etc just fine.

Fixed.

I had to restore 9.2 nand and then start from there again.

If you backed up your NAND as part of DSiWare Downgrade (Save Injection) or Hardmod Downgrade, restore that NAND backup instead of NANDmin.bin by moving the file to /files9/ and doing the following steps. It will be named NAND_N3DS.bin, NAND_O3DS.bin, or backup_nand.bin, depending on the steps you did.

Did you do this?

Well, the backup i done whilst upgraded to 9.2 is what I restored. So all went well and fixed now
