Lol Nintendo are just going through the sky3ds template file bannning the headers in it. If you use the same header with any other device or flashcart etc you will still get a ban. Must be their way of hurting sky3ds users because they haven't found a better way to stop and patch them out.

That is my guess anyway.

And that's why i dumped my own retail games and use my own headers on sky3ds, no public ones and n one except me using my own headers, for gateway i only use cia's of my own dumped games and why the hell did i buy Cubic Ninja yesterday in the store for €9?

I don't know how and why everyone else is getting the error. But I like I said, I got the error, deleted my Internet settings and restarted, things worked fine. Both my Japanese 3ds downgraded from 6.2 and UK 3ds retail 4.1 work fine. Both have seperate gateway cards.

Mind you, if it is header issues, I would get none of that. I have each rom with a seperate header of my own. Pokemon games require different header for pokemon-gl registration. Otherwise I kept getting the same game sync code.

I hope that it stays this way, I've only been playing in classic mode as well.

Edit: I saw on a spanish forum that someone said that they were banned after playing their sister's private dump of Mario Kart 7 online. He also said that he was able to play the retail cart that it was dumped from on her vanilla 9.5 3DS online after the ban.

They might be using something other than headers, just a HEADS UP! (pun definitely intended)

From Elotrolado right? I see the post. If the story's true, then the bans aren't for public headers (since that user used a private one) nor are the bans for duplicate headers (the legit system would've been banned too).

Does anyone know what kind of info is sent online to show what game you're currently playing on your friend list? Doesn't it still show what you're playing even if it's .3DS?

Hmmm maybe this is how Nintendo is fighting Sky3ds....maybe its taking a lot longer then we thought to block it and this is just a temp fix for now.

I think you can remove ShawnTRods from the list, considering he didn't get banned and instead only got what the error code was really meant to be used for, an access point error which fixed itself.

stands to reason sky3ds providing a nice condensed list of cartID's all their users would be using wouldn't end well.......now im wondering if they might of just used some of the public headers that gateway users dumped for building their template file, which would explain why only a few gateway users are effected atm.........seems to be a pattern, but still not exactly proof that its only based on headers

guess sky3ds users should stop using the template file provided by sky3ds, i wonder if the author of the alternate sky disk writer tool would be able to integrate a automated header patcher like the gateway rom patch tool

still not seen if anyone has actually tried using a new header after seeing this error to see if its just the specific header banned

If I can find working instructions, I'll try to create a tool to make this easier for everybody... Do you know any such instructions?
