Do you think the dsi is more capable of more emu's than the ds with the 2x faster cpu and 4x extra ram?

Probably. AFAIK DSi Mode is barely hacked and we have limited access. There are DSi mode carts out but those are only for a few DSi-enhanced games and that's about it.

Well there's only a few I think.

Most people don't bother, since the improvement isn't as good as you'd think since the original DS's specs were so weak to begin with. A PSP still beats the DS all-around for emulation so it's not like people are rushing to get an iEvo.

There's quite a few emulators and stuff that work better/faster in DSi mode.
A2600
A5200
A7800
DSx86
cQuake
PokeMini
msxDS
Doom
Hexen

..and i dunno if they run better but there's
nesDS
DSCraft
copper's Arcade Emus (1942, Bombjack, etc)
most of Jayenkai's games work in DSi mode also.

Knew that, just didn't know how many emulators were made specifically for the DSi. Well OP you got your answer.
Apparently, iEvo adds a compatibility layer that lets homebrew run in DSi mode.
For example, pressing L in Lameboy speeds the game up more than in DS mode.
