Homebrew earliest JP firmware with themes + menuhax?

i know for sure 8.1.0J n3DS has themes already, what's the earliest JP firmware that introduced themes? was it the same for both o3DS and n3DS?

also, would i be able to use menuhax on that FW on o3DS?

8.1.0J is the earliest and menuhax only works on 9.0 and above.

Yellows8 simply never added support for it (or wasn't able to, he might not have an 8.1.0-0J N3DS for all we know, or know anyone who has/had one).

ah, that's unfortunate. was hoping to update a friend's o3DS to 8.1 with a cart and run themehax from there.
