The USB receiver was not recognized when the software started. I suspected a hardware error.
I opened the USB receiver stick and examined the circuit. I discovered that a 16 MHz quartz component was defective. >> see picture
I replaced the component and the USB receiver was recognized again.
The next problem: the heart sensor was not recognized. I opened it and checked the hardware here too.
Surprise: exactly the same quartz component was installed here. I'm also replacing the 16 MHz quartz component here. >> see picture
EA sports is working again with the repaired components.
On the sensors you have to hold the button down for about 5 seconds until you see the green tick in the software, and only one blue LED lights up.
The usb receiver is only recognized when starting the software from the disc, but not with usbloader gx.
