Yep I just tried putting in Pilotwings Resort and no go so apparently it's time to call Nintendo. Do they charge anything for bent pins? Is my warranty invalid since I used flashcards?

can you see the pins bent?

only invalid if you tell um you did

this problem has nothing to do with the card
just say it didnt read either your 3DS or DS cards and you dont know why

Yes I just checked and they are in fact bent. I think I bent them while doing the paper trick with my acekard a while back. I called nintendo and I just formatted my system to be safe before I send it in.

Before you send your 3DS to nintendo go to your activity log and delete the icon which used to show up on your DSTwo

Hi everyone said:
that's not necessary.

Nintendo might look at that and realise a DSTWO has been used on it?

nintendo are able to find out whether you've used flashcards or not even if you delete that icon. it's just a superficial change, mister smart guy.

You don't have one.

Your source is what is written in the manual?
People even trust those?

The only thing close to this that I've heard from Nintendo was that a firmware update could brick the 3DS if an unauthorized cartridge was used in it.
And no, they won't be able to find out you've used a flashcart unless you have tried to use one that hadn't been updated.

For example, if you were to use a DSTwo in your 3DS, provided you updated it, it would show up as Alex Rider in the list of icons.
The "internals" wouldn't have the real DSTwo icon, because if the 3DS could detect it as being a flashcart, don't you think it would block it?

alright alright, i should've put my first post differently: nintendo are able to find out whether you have played a certain game or not even if you delete the icon from the activity log. it's just a superficial change. you could compare it to when you delete a file on a computer, it's never gone until the data is overwritten. and even then.
