Hacking DSI XL Hacked??

Does anyone know if the dsi xl has been hacked in Japan? I cant seem to find any info on it

i did search and nothing came up, the japanese version is out and you dont know if they changed any of the hardware to prevent flash carts.

Being able to use flashcarts on a DSi does not mean the DSi has been hacked. It would be more accurate to say that the flashcarts have been hacked to bypass the DSi's anti-piracy protection.

as it stands then, the DSi XL has the same hardware, therefor, the flash carts have bypassed that hardware and will work. Mine comes tuesday.

Quote for truth from both of you. The DSI has no hardware modifications to block the DSI compatible flashcards, it simply has a bigger screen, hence the name DSI XL.

Okay, also this as well. The DSI has not been hacked, EVER (at least no one knows of.) a flashcard working on a DS does not mean it is hacked.

The real thing if the DSI was hacked would be custom firmware and some other hacks. Currently there is no hack out released to the public for DSI.

DSi mode has not been hacked yet. If it had, then there would be a major announcement and this forum would go wild.
The current "DSi" flash carts only run on DS mode and cannot utilize any of the DSi's advanced features. There are many of these flash carts, including the M3i Zero, so it's not really a big deal that these can work on the DSi XL.

It's more than just getting unsigned code to run, they have to make useful code to run.

I've heard someone is working on the DSi mode flashcart. However, no announcement being made yet. So, I guess we will have to wait.
