Homebrew [DSi] Twilight menu ++ v1.4.3 theme not working

Anyone else having this issue? I'm trying to make a custom theme and I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've compressed my images down to the recommended size and I've shuffled things around but every time I boot the theme up it shows it perfectly for a moment before it glitches and softlocks me out of it. The bottom screen gets these black and white stripes while the top screen goes pitch black. I don't know what to do I've been fiddling with this for 2 days now. I'm a total noob at working with this and home brewing my system so any help would be appreciated.

You mentioned an nds-bootstrap version. Which TWiLight Menu++ version are you using?
Also, make sure "boot.nds" is on the SD root.

I'm on vers 27.5.0 btw, I can't use themes at all ....it keeps going on default. Any solutions to this?

Are you selecting the theme the skin is made for, in TWLMenu++ Settings, and then pressing the A button to select the skin?

I can't select dsi themes. Nor 3ds...it keeps staying on default. I did everything the guide said to upload the theme files but it's just not working.

Yep. But it just won't go on the selected theme for it

How exactly did you install the skin(s)?

So, basically I searched up the dsi theme files, I extracted them. But they still won't be selected. I couldn't use them zipped either. Don't think you're supposed to use them unzipped....but

If selecting either of those skins have no effect, then make sure you're pressing the B button to exit TWLMenu++ Settings, in order to save the theme/skin setting.
If you already did that, then post pictures of what's inside both of those folders when the SD is inserted into your PC.

ok so, im back, sorry for now only getting back to you, but i think this may be a bug or something from twilight menu ++ where its not applying the files...so heres a video of the themes im trying to get on my modded dsi

pressing those buttons dont work so im confussed as to why im getting that issue. whether its 3ds skins or DSi skins...which is comatible for the dsi since you can put them on the 3ds themes file in the twilight menu..im not the only person experiencing this too. someone on reddit did and there were a coule of users on youtube expessing the issue.

The issue is that the folder is nested. Move everything from the second "TLoZ" folder into the first "TLoZ" folder.
Do the same for the "TLoZ - Spirit Tracks" folders.

well...ive tried and it still doesnt work...im unsure if these files are the issue...
because im trying to use the mario kardt ds theme now and its the same...not beinng read..

Hey i have same issues about theme for nintendo dsi (Twilight Menu++, even on the new version) i tried the same thing, i move the theme to dsimenu>themes>paste. It's just the same i try to press A or B it doesnt work. Just show as default theme.. have any solution? Or could you fix that for the next update?

Yes, I made TWLMenu++.

1. I downloaded Twilight Menu++ skins from website called "skins ds homebrew".
2. I extract the zip file to ./<archieve name/>
3. I follow the instruction from youtube, they said copy the skin to >dsimenu>themes>paste, and when i want to change the themes in twilight menu setting, i click the themes that i installed and press A/B and after that its show nothing (just default theme).

before this happen, old version its just normal which mean its work.. but the new version wont work.

Edit: I use the flashcart version for twilight menu..
