Does anyone know how to activate/unhide the pre-installed Nintendo Zone app on a DSi?
I know the app only activates when a special wifi beacon is detected according to the DSibrew wiki but have no clue about the rest. (Such as how to craft and trasmit the beacon)

Managed to find a Nintendo Zone Wireless Distribution Box rom to try my luck there but it needed to connect to the internet first and it gets a access denied error when it does. (Guessing it's due to the Nintendo WiFi shutdown.) No dumps of the other NZone carts (Best Buy) exists to test as well.

Was really curious about this for a while and really wanted to play around with it. (and also have a neat and rare icon on the menu. :P)
Use godmode9i to dump it then use NTM to install it

This thread is dead but I'm curious if anyone was able to get the app to work on MelonDS or No$GBA via Unlaunch? Whenever I open the Nintendo Zone app on either, the emulator crashes.

Update! While I haven't done hex editing before, I found the addresses that the DS tries to connect to just sitting there in text in the hexeditor. I'm assuming you can change it to point to a server that hosts the files and you're good to go!

Pretty simple process. really.
What hex editor do you use?

I am trying to figure out how to access the code of Nintendo zone. I might be able to get this working.
I'm trying to get this working too. the server files are hard to come by, and I haven't found them yet. Maybe try using a HexEditor to edit the WDB ROM to bypass server checks, which will result in the Nintendo Zone icon appearing, I don't know how to do this though :( . if we get the Nintendo Zone Server Files, then we can redirect the Nintendo Zone URL to a custom IP, which will act as a Nintendo Zone server.

A hex editor btw

Edit: Would the beacon detection value thing be near the top?
