It doesn't need to be tried to see that it's a fake.

!) There's no DS program in the zip file attached to the YouTube video.
2) There's no save file to transfer over to the Zelda cart which contains code to access the SD card slot.
3) In DS mode the DSi has no access to the DSi hardware, so what he's claiming isn't physically possible.
4) The file inside the zip is a PSP homebrew game, unless someone has cleverly written a PSP emulator for the DS it won't run.

Do you know how a save exploit works? I have a better chance of winning every state lottery in the world on the same evening then there's a chance that somehow a bug in the Zelda code when talking to one person in the game allows access to hardware that hadn't actually been created at the time, specally one that allows PSP code to run. It's like saying transferring an Amiga game to your 360 memory and loading up Dead Rising and speaking to a character in the game will allow backups to be played on the 360.

If that noob was copying a sav file than its fake think good the ds stores it sav in ???? jes the cartridge why should an ds sav game be asaved on a dsi???
Maybe that dsi sav games will be saved on the dsi but the change is 50|50 why? well you did see what happend to the wii right ...

Otherwise, I suggest you log off and move to another forum that welcomes retards. A computer that is able to handle a million key attempts a second would take significantly longer than the age of the universe to crack a 128 bit encryption (obviously depends on your encryption algorithm, we should assume it is coded properly, not by idiots).

EDIT: I think some of you are confused with cracking a 128 bit wireless network and cracking a 128 bit encryption key. They are worlds apart.

I think you don't realize how many computers there are in the world, as well as the speed of some of the supercomputers around the world.

Well, I doubt that anybody on this website has a super computer (they might, you never know), anyways, while the chances of finding the common key via the brute forcer are VERY HIGHLY improbable, it's still (slightly) better than doing nothing

I think you are the one who has no idea. You should really try to get some understanding into encryption and possible mathematics before you talk anymore. There is no way in hell that all the computers in the world (including supercomputers, cpus on all electrical appliances) TODAY can even attempt to break a 128 bit encryption key in less than a few thousand years and that's if we're extremely lucky.

Here's a simply calculation:

That's 20 quadrillion calculations per second. That's 20*(10^15) per second!

The number of combinations in a 128 bit encryption key: 2^128

Let's say we have 1 BILLION of these supercomputers. Are you happy with that figure? One BILLION supercomputers that's 1 supercomputer for every 7 people on earth, roughly.

Assuming one calculation on the super computer is able to attempt one key combination and verify that attempt. Now let's calculate.

(2^128)/((20^16)*(10^9)) = 1.7*10^13 seconds
Translated into years: 539514

Assuming we have a BILLION of these supercomputers at the moment it will still take us about half a million years. Now go back to where ever you came from and next time if you have no idea about something, don't say anything. Thank you.

Edit: I was actually way off target. It would take probably a lot more than a thousands to break even with extreme luck.

That's how long it would take to complete every possible combination.
Now since the bruteforcer we are using is random.. It's highly unlikely that the correct combination will be the last to be found.

houseonfire, you need to learn a bit about probability, statistics and maths. Attempting it in RANDOM ORDER sequences has the same probability of finding it as attempting them IN-ORDER..... it makes no difference.

When its going random, it will randomly check each possible match.
Although its possible for the value to be the last one on the list, the value is more likely to be randomly guessed before the last value is hit on the program that is going in order.

Not true. The probability is the same either way. Randomly or sequentially will yield the same results. Who knows - if the value is within the first thousand or two possible outcomes, then a sequential order would be a better choice because a random choice may not get that value for a long time. The same goes for if it's at the end of the list of outcomes. A random choice might hit it sooner than a sequential one, but who's to say it will?

Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaage. I give up. I'm using probability theory to tell you that, it does not matter if it it random or sequential, the probability of guessing the key is exactly the same.....and you're using some sort of home-made-so-called-logical-sense to argue with me.

Edit: You can only say ex-post whether using random or sequential is better, that is... only once you have found the actual key combination. Not ex-ante.
 
right password is the perfect string of 2 character combinations ranging from 00 to ff, it's all so obvious now

you do realise what that youtube guy did dont you.... he pressed the power button mid game to go back to the menu. thats why he doesnt show you the whole dsi and why, when nothing is copied to the ds game, it still goes back.
