Hacking DS lite top screen problem

Heyy guys I have been having this problem for like 3 weeks now and i want to fix it
okay every time i turn on my DS lite the top screen, instead of having a white background it is a lite blue background, and when i start a game it turns a lite red. so everytime i would play a game the top screen of that game would turn a lil red. to fix it i have to turn my ds top screen all the way at the back and the redness would go away. but i want to totally fix it i dont know what it is but i am thinking its something in the connection.
PLZ help i apperecate it

Umm i would but i accidentally took off the number on the back of it, plus i think it somthing wrong with the connection soo i might open it up and reput the top screen, what do u think??

try returning it anyway. most major stores won't have a problem i would think.
