need a overview of whats happening here in the past few weeks please. been on vacation :P
nothing much really theres more cards that work in NTR Launcher, it has configs now for TWL Mode or NTR Mode Clockspeeds, and we're Somewhat close to a working DLDI Driver for TWL Mode to universally use DS Homebrew on t he SD Card this way and that HBLauncher will be the basis for Rom Loading instead Of Wood3DS.

DLDI for old homebrew is almost there! Ahezard nearly got it working with nds bootstrap. It's not quite ready for wide release. however in limited use it works fine. This is the first app I've compiled that uses it:

https://github.com/ApacheThunder/NTR_BootStrap/releases/tag/1.0.BackupTool

Remember that really old rom dumper? It's the only dumper I know of that dumps my DS-Xtreme flashchart correctly. It's closed source so that means no way of porting to newer devkitarm.

But that's not a problem now. :D

Via my NTR Bootstrap, a second bootstrap (ahezard's special version of his nds-bootstrap from which my NTR BootStrap was originally forked from) starts and does the magic. It patches DLDI and arm7 of the target SRL so that 3DS/DSi SD is accessible to the homebrew app in question. You do not even have to dldi patch the homebrew you want to launch. Ahezard's nds-bootstrap does this for you before launching it.

There are still issues with Ahezard's bootstrap. Currently it doesn't boot in TWL mode correctly. Thus the reason I have my bootstrap launch it since mine works in TWL mode just fine and will be doing the NTR mode switch for it. And second the method ahezard used to achieve this still is a bit unreliable for some homebrew. But in this case it works fine for NDS Backup Tool, so I went ahead and packaged a release of my BootStrap that uses it. :D

is there a way we could like run a virtual r4i card on the 3ds?
Just an IDEA I doubt its possible, but like is it?

Ahezard already planning to try and boot retail games with his nds-bootstrap program. Patching old homebrew to use SD is the first step and Ahezard is just now about done with that. Still a bit ways off till retail games are working from SD.

Does DSi mode have "modes" for running games like the N3DS has? Like, a mode for running legacy DS games, enhanced DS games that use the extra RAM and clock speed of the DSi and such?

Pretty much is what the 3DS does when booting an NTR Cart (Normal DS) and DSiWare and is handled by TWLFirm as for teh DSi itself i assume it switcheh betwene modes in a similar fashion betwene DS and DSi-Enhanced/DSiWare.

Huh, so, will it be possible to force all games to run using the full DSi's hardware like N3DS can? I think it's possible to adjust DS games clock speed, but is that as far as it can be pushed?

we allready can, Look for Apache's NTR Launcher but there are glitches that rise by doing so (some minor some like running a rom in a poorly written Emulator bad.)

Is it normal that it doesn't read some cards, like the R4 SDHC (no banner)? I even tried holding it in, but the backup tool still won't reconize it.
