Yeah, they're simple gamecards without patches and no kernel, you know, the 3DS doesn't need it, gamecards are made with magic.
come on buddy... think
there is loads of information as to why and how ds flashcards work.
ds game cards have a kernel? and patches?

injecting dsiware into the 3ds is not new, and it does not mean that normal ds roms will be able to work as simple as that.
I know that DSiWare backups doesn't work as NDS retail backups, the best thing that I suggest is a homebrew like Nintendont, which skips annoying things like the TWL_FIRM and Bootloader code and runs his own code using the backwards hardware.

excellent, so someone simply has to reverse the hardware :)
i understand and agree that sure this is possible, but who will put the work in?
you? not me (i can't). not many.

Well, I'm trying reading the code (as we know in the scene) of TWL_FIRM, Bootloader, TWL Card (damn, a lot of things...), because I think that the DS(i) Mode backwards is very interesting, I don't care about piracy (I alreally own 2 flashcards), just for science and enhance the DS(i) experience on the 3DS.

What are the odds of upscaling the resolution to 3ds native for DS Mode?

Edit: I do know that Smea has been looking into hooking into the renderer to record footage, but thats as much as I know right now, so their some access to the 3ds frame buffer...

Possible if we get to run DS Backups on 3DS mode.

I'd be more interested in a solution like Devolution where DS games can make use of the 3DS hardware (like WiFi with WPA, for instance). I wish I were more capable/knowledgable when it comes to this sort of thing as I think it would be a really cool project to take up. Unfortunately, I don't have much free time to learn.

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.
