Title says it all. I'm looking for a game that has a really deep storyline, preferably a RPG.
Can anyone suggest one or a couple?

I know you asked for RPG, but one of the series that I think has great gameplay and a really deep story is the ace attorney series, even thoughits not really an RPG, the gameplay is very fun.

I agree with tenentenen if you are searching for good games with a deep storyline nothing better than the Ace Attorney games, I'm a RPG lover but this games are the best.

But if you really want an RPG with that features I can recomend Dragon Quest V.

Time Hollow has a deep storyline, kept me playing and enjoying it even though the game itself is rather linear.

Phoenix Wright/ Apollo Justice (best story ever on DS for me, not an RPG though)
Prof. Layton DB/CV (2nd best story ever on DS for me)
KH (3rd best story for me)

And then, in no particular order....

Chrono Trigger
FF III and IV (although if you have a PS1/2/P or GB FF VI and VII has better story)
TWEWY
Time Hollow
Hotel Dusk
DQ IV/V/IV
SMT:DS and SMT: SJ
Trace Memory
Knights in Nightmare
Suidoken
Disgea
Soma Bringer
Fire Emblem
Final Fantasy CC: RoF/EoT (RoF was better in terms of story, EoT in gameplay)
Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon (these have much better story than Pt/P/D)
GTA: CW
COP
Luminous Arc
Avalon Code
M&L 2/3
Castlevania (all of them)
Sonic: Dark Brotherhood
Sands of Destruction
Henry Hastworth
FFXII: RW
Metroid
Trauma Center 1/2
Yoshi's Island
Super Robot Taisen
Nostalgia
Pokemon Ranger 2 (the first one's story was boring)
Zelda (good to some people, for me, meh)
Tales of Hearts
Tales of Innocence
SaGa 2
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume
Rune Factory 1/2
Nanashi no Geemu (if it ever gets translated)

All I can think of. Hope it helps.

Nothing in ds come close to Xeno series in term of story line, I guess they think that a plot tangled with religious, psychological, politics and morale beside the usual kill the bad guy is unsuitable for ds geography which is mostly kids.

If you want one, get a console.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
