This crap game was NOT developed by Shin'en. That's the reason why they are not mentioned in the credits. They only developed the two former GBA titles. The Nintendo DS crap was developed by Independent Arts - an awful german developing house specialised in low cost and low fun Nintendo DS and GBA games.

I don't think anyone actually said it was developed by Shin'en, but the engine used in the game was based on theres so they should at least get some credit.

First of all, this is a region dupe:
0713 - Biene Maja Klatschmohnwiese

The first two GBA games were by SHIN`EM, and imo one of the best GBA jump`n`runs ever.
THE DS game is made by INDIPENDENT ARTISTS, and sadly not as good as the GBA prequels. It`s not SHIN`EM. YOu see, hear and feel it, but it is still a nince jump`n`run.

I can`t understand why people bash games by cover design or name?
This game
is pretty good.

Actually, this game deserves some justice. It's a tie-in of Maya The Bee indeed, which is famous in various countries. It seems it's a follow-up/remake of the two GBA games starring Maya, developed by Shin'en, who made Garfield's Nightmare for the DS (you can recognize the style); those two games were standard yet colorful and pretty platformers. Apparently they dropped the Maya mention from the title since the cartoon is not famous in the USA. All this said, I have to agree that the timing of release and the attempt to cash in from The Bee Movie are quite shameful.

Agreed. The game does deserve some justice, and I doubt many folks who've commented in this thread have tried it yet. I have, and it reminds me of Yoshi's Island. It's a pretty well-thought out platformer. I like the jump / fly mechanic and the requirement of honey to allow you to fly. It's an easy game, for sure, but for those who enjoyed Yoshi's Island, they'll probably also really appreciate this game. I dig it.
