You're just hoping for that, right? Posting here monthly to confirm that it's died so you can gloat? I mean, there's really no other explanation for your posting the same thing over and over other than the fact you're looking to gain some enjoyment or satisfaction over the project being officially dead.um, hello, is this project dead?

You should just consider it dead & stop checking so that those of us patiently waiting don't need to see your needless needling posts so often.
C'mon man, insanity is posting the same post over and over and expecting different results, please stop the insanity.
So quoted [emoji1787][emoji1787]im a huge fan of the dragon quest monsters games, i have like 300 hours in terry wonderland just to make my monsters perfect, i really need this game translated cause i saw gameplay on youtube and it looks insanely fun, a fully improved terry wonderland, with more monsters, better maps, awesome history... im here to leave this message, when this project its done i will pay full price of the game to the team in charge, it may not be much and i know it sounds pretentious but i will do it, you guys can quote this
lets face it, unless someone with incredible skills comes up ( no offense ) that finds a way to figure out the problem they ran into this translation is dead.
It makes me sad but i can understand the team not trying day in day out to figure this out just because there are 5 idiots in a gbatemp forum that want the game so badly
I wouldn't count the project out as dead yet, HOWEVER considering the lack of updates from the creator. I am left with 3 guesses.
1. The project actually is dead and/or the creator just simply forgot they made this thread
2. The project is not dead, however is stuck in development hell
3. The project isn't dead, the creator is just waiting to finish the patch 100% before it releases, perhaps to surprise everyone.
I would argue that option 2 is the most likely. The 2nd most likely to me though.......is that the author just forgot about this lol.
I hate when translators leave their fans hanging, so here's a brief update on DQM23DS...
It's all nearly translated. No testing has happened, and we haven't gone any further with it because I ran into a major issue.
I could not get more than 40 characters or so to display in a window at any given time (for dialog). Never figured out how to resolve that, and then
life happened. Perhaps if the right person came along who knew how to help (assembly hacker, and knowledge of 3ds code.bin files) we could figure this out!
However, I personally ran out of free time to dedicate to figuring out this problem for the time being (sadly). I'd love to pick it back up right now, but
I just can't. Eventually (if we get no help on this issue), I hope to figure it out.
I've heard of it. These project all existed well before kurimuu. No idea how you think that would help this particular problem. It's a string cap/buffer limit I just can't locate
That's an accurate summary of what our conversation was back in December. The creator himself said that the game was pretty much all translated, the problem was they couldnt fit the english characters, this makes it much worse for people who are waiting for this, knowing the game is translated but cant be released because of other reasons
