It's a weird problem, as some of my saves freeze, while others are fine. I'm going to have to run it through the debugger to see what's going on, so it may be tomorrow before I can pinpoint what's going on.

It works on very early saves of mine>.

Hrmm, saying it was a newer save, I quickly figured out what happened. It's due to the wifi message(which I could of sworn didn't use the same class as the other strings) for some reason I used a byte for the loop to encode the string and the wifi message is > 255 characters so an endless loop happens. I fixed it, but now release I've garbled the wifi message. I'll fix that when I get back to actively working on it, Im done for now:O

Version 0.6 is here

I've only browsed this thread, so I apologise if this has been mentioned:

If you're using cheats on the DS or through an emulator, and changes you've made to your save via the editor aren't showing up in game... disable the DS cheats for the first load, save again and then re-enable your cheat codes (if necessary).

Having some DS cheats active was causing appearance changes made with the editor not load on the DS with cheats active (hair model and colour changes of the hero in particular).

Here are the male hair styles.

As for female hair styles, I am getting to those by I figure 40-49 are the ten defaults and 50-53 as those depicted on the males.

READ THIS: I suspect this is not all of the hair styles. I tested a few above 53 and those were blank. BUT, Jack Abbot clearly has a beard and hair flowing on the back of his head. Due to this fact, I think other hair styles, and possibly more faces, exist somewhere in the numbers.

Thank you! Also is there possible for the hair color preview? I want the pale blue hair for my hero but none of that exist for character create in the game.

Hair Colors seem weird. You can use the preset values 160-169. Additionally, the ten default colors seem to be in values 0-9. Furthermore, the colors seemed to be stored all over the place. 80-89. 16-25. I didn't try anymore values.

I'm not sure why the texture values for the colors are stored at many different places.

I suspect that the extra hairstyles were made specifically for the NPCs. As such, they have colors programmed into the hairstyle. When previewing those I did not set any special color. I assume that you can only get the "pale blue", as you call it, with those certain hairstyles.

As a consolation, you can have a non-textured, all white hair by using 10.

EDIT: Changing some wording. Grammar and typo fixing.

Code:
.ÂÂ0 -ÂÂ 9
. 16 -ÂÂ25 |ÂÂ16 = 2^4
. 80 -ÂÂ89 |ÂÂ80 = 2^3 x 10
.160 - 169 | 160 = 2^4 x 10

Or maybe each value (0~255?) is a hair style or color? Rather than 37 in Hair style is _____, but 37 in Hair color is _____.
CODE.ÂÂ0 -ÂÂ 9 = Default color
. 16 -ÂÂ25 = NPC color (?)
. 40 -ÂÂ49 = Default style (Female)
. 50 -ÂÂ53 = NPC style (Male)
. 80 -ÂÂ89 = NPC color (?)
.160 - 169 = NPC color (?)
Though that doesn't make much sense since you'd need to have two values anyway.

This editor is very useful indeed. I've only used it to change some little details like hair color and faces though.

Thanks for translating this, Yumil.

Just updated the first post with all the releases and other info, I hope you guys don't mind ... if any of you want me to add something else, just say it. I'll update every time there's a new release

Hmm, gonna test it with (E) Save soon.
Will edit results.

€dit: Works great, no problems here.

Does the treasure tab actually allow you to import/export maps at all? If so can anyone explain how? I've been trying to figure it out but to no avail. It only looks like you can see the various parameters of the map like chest locations. Would be awesome if we could get the 2 good JP maps without having to find a 2nd DS to use tag

Theres a treasure menu option on the menu bar. Im not at my computer so I dont remember what I changed the text to but one is for searching while the other downloads a database of maps. If you download the database you can use the search option to find a map to add to your save. Problem is I haven't even really started messing with this translation fully yet, so it's going to be a pain to find what you want to find.

Well I don't know if anyone noticed yet, or if it's significant, but I loaded up a jap save and the names displayed in katakana.
this is in .5 btw. I haven't been bothered to get 6 yet, so if that info is useless as of that update then my bad...

I don't believe so. I was looking and I don't see any sort of import/export function, but there is a small chance I missed something.

If someone were to post the map numbers (rank and seed) from one of their maps, others can to overwrite one of their existing maps (or create a new one) with the same values and have the exact same map.

'Location' can be changed to your own preference, though certain types of maps can only appear at certain locations. If the number turns red, it won't work. Keep trying until you get a number in the regular (black) font color.

You can also make your own random maps very easily. Just create a new one (or use an existing one) and change the rank and seed values to a different combination. As long as neither number is red, it will work. Check the right-most pane for info on your new map, such as the number of floors and treasure chests.

Try out one of my maps:
Rank: 86 (hex) Seed: 21CF (hex)
- Level: 70
- Tileset: Volcano
- Floors: 14
- Enemy Rank: 6
- Boss: Atlas
- Chests: 26 (S:0 A:0 B:2 C:2 D:9 E:3 F:4 G:4 H:2 I:0)

To get a new treasure map in your save just click on the treasure tab > click on the plus sign in the list > enter to map no (first, second)

Here is a list of all the best maps in the game:

134, 30804 (Floor 11 is full of Metal King Slimes, Boss = Lucid)
175, 2720 (Floor 7 is full of Metal Slimes, Boss = Fowleye)
248, 4929 (Lots of A/S Chests, Boss = Trauminator)
189, 200
184, 9638 (Good chest map for crafting, Floor 9 is Metal King Slimes, Boss = Hammibal)
198, 25615
217, 26468 (Great money farming map gem slimes for 10k per kill, Boss = Greygnarl)
187, 9788
183, 15522 (Kawasaki loot map, Boss = Fowleye)
187, 3676 (Masayuki map, Floor 15 has Metal King Slimes, Boss = Tyrannosaurus Wrecks)
184, 18322 (Good chest map)
