Thanks to comex for DVDX 3.4 and BannerBomb, to WiiPower for providing a version of the WAD Manager source compatible with the latest devkitPro and libogc and to WB3000 for NUS Downloader.

I have a Wii version 4.0e
i want to downgrade my Wii to 3.2 to install the Homebrew Channel.

downloaded Bannerbomb and get to step 10 there is open Cios downgrader and select firmware 3.2e
it strats downloading but sttucks by #15
does this take some time todownload or does someone knowwhat i can do ?

Remove any gamecube memory/gamepads from Wii (if you have any connected).

After following this tutorial, I used the ios doengrader (last step) and when I rebooted, the wii's screen was screwed up!
restarted, nothing
cold shutdown, nothing, still messed up
I can't play games like this! And I doubt that nintendo will replace it!
please help ASAP, or I'm out 250 dollars

This is why you read the guide many times, knowing it by heart, before you attempt anything.

Check your Wii's serial number, if it starts with LU64, LU65 that is most likely the reason why your Wii is dead, its "unhackable" the normal way, trying will just BRICK it.

Sorry for the overreaction, but I've fixed the problem, I accidentaly chose E, thinking it stood for english, and didn't see the U firmware. I hooked up my wii to my laptop set on PAL mode and fixed it there.
And no, my wii didn't have LU64 or LU65, that was the first thing I checked.

Just curious, how do you "install" 3.2? I have done everything, including 6. I have installed IOS30, as well as all the ones before it, and after, up to 35. I looked through the dols you gave me, and I seem to have run out of options. All that's left is NandClean.dol and wadmanager. Any help?

Well i got a wii back from ninty today and it appears to be a unmoddable version. The thing is my other wii was serial LAH112xxx and the new one was LAH113xxx so i dint really even think it would be an unmoddable. So i got hbc installed, but couldnt get a cIOS installed, since I didnt think about LU64 I went ahead and downgraded an IOS with trucha bug to get cios installed. After that all i get with homebrew is a black screen, also black screen with Banner Bomb.

So I went to 4.0 thinking it would clear up the IOS downgrade problem, but still just black screen on homebrew booting.
