Wasn't expecting this at all. Loved the DK series when I was younger on the SNES. From the gameplay it still sorta reminds me of that.

i gotta compliment reggie on presenting this one at E3, i watched it live. it was awesome

he started talking about Retro Studios and how they said they wanted to take on more than just metroid.
then DKC music suddenly starts playing and he hyped people up a bit up to a big reveal
