I have a 2DS on 9.2 firmware and I want to unlink sysnand and emuand.
But I'm afraid that my 2ds would be blocked by the process of turning on the 3d switch(since 2ds doesn't have it).So I want to ask is there anyone successfully unlink the sysnand? If succeeds, how?
Thanks a lot.

i've done it. i have no idea what you're talking about with the 3d switch though. what does that have to do with unlinking?

You have a 2DS, you will never be asked to do anything with a 3D switch. You can safely unlink.

........ install 6.x mset instead of 4.x.....

i'm sorry i don't understand you.
The problem 2ds has:
if u install 4.x mset on a 2ds sysnand, after u performed a system format, in the setup section, u will be asked to push the 3d switch to the max level....

This issue only occurs for people who have downgraded their 2DS' mset to 4.x (since that version is from before the 2DS existed), and after a system format those people would be asked during the setup process to turn up the 3D slider.
However, rxTools now supports 6.x mset and that's the recommended version to use.
If you are worried about it, or you have mset downgraded but you are unsure which version you have, you can restore the original mset before formatting.
On the upside, after formatting you can use menuhax to autoboot rxTools and you won't need the mset exploit anymore at all. So if you have downgraded your mset you might as well restore it before you format.

Wow, this thread is going in circles.

I unlinked my 2DS and never had any problem. Oddly enough, the people who programmed the stuff knows what they are doing.

Okay, I guess more info got posted after my post. Why anyone would want to install the 4.x MSET on their 2DS is beyond me, but whatever.

I never downgraded on my 2DS, seemed stupid since the 4.x MSET doesn't know about the 2DS.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
