Misc Do people still use HomePass?

I recently got my 3DS back and started doing online stuff again, so I got my Raspberry Pi out of storage and hooked it back up.

Last night I left it on for about 6 hours and only got 9 tags.

The guide for RasPi is really outdated (in fact I don't even see it mentioned anymore...), and this is the list of MACs I'm using:

Or am I simply using old/outdated MACs? If there are new ones being used now, I can certainly add them to my list.

I'm using the old way involving Raspbian and a .sh script that shuffles MACs every 10 minutes. It works fine, just seems like I'm not getting nearly as many tags as I used to (I remember I used to get 10 in an hour or two)

It has been a while since i used it but i thought at any given time the max amount of homepasses you could get are 10 or so anyway?

For Mii Plaza yeah, but for other games you can have up to 99.

I'm also surprised I got none for Pokémon X/Y. Given how popular those games are on the site, I'd think people used them.

Yup, still using it.. Kinda.. With only one MAC: F8:01:13:79:05:59.. I still get a couple hits every 8 hours, so yay.
PS: For those Europeans with Inazuma Eleven 3 - HomePass with my MAC please!

It works well for Mii Plaza (always get 9/10 tags though) but doesn't gives any hit for Zelda albw or Bravely Default at least on the 160 prime macs.
Still have to find a way to cycle to the custom macs as I'm using Windows 7 and thus stuck to macs starting with x4, x6, xE...

I second Gruntzer...the list from Macycle gives me nine fresh Miis every 20 minutes or so (usually 6 per MAC change, so I wait for 2 MAC changes). I do meet a lot of the same people, but I'm almost done with all of my puzzle pieces and I have tons of Level 7 Miis for Find Mii 2, so no complaints here.

A small note about Pokemon. I dunno why, but if you have streetpass for Mii Plaza active, you will NOT get any hits for Pokemon. Disabling Mii plaza makes them appear through HomePass.

Not entirely true. There is a bug that affects your last Streetpass activated game. Doesn't matter what it is.

An easy fix is to activate your game, then go to Swapnote and activate that (or if you already/still have it active, deactivate it, then reactivate it).

You should start getting passes for your new game.

That's the thing tho, I specifically disabled everything that was not Pokemon to check if I get a Street Pass, then enabled everything back, and one thing that wasn't earlier active. Still not getting anything.

I have the Streetpass plaza active and Pokemon on 2 of my systems. Both get regular hits while doing Homepass.

When in doubt, check the game itself to see if you've actually enabled it. I've done that one in the past.

It changed every 2 minutes. Don't know if it's recommended, but got enough villagers in a few hours.

Does that happen to everybody or only certain people? I haven't had a problem getting both Pokémon and Mii Plaza, but I wonder if that's related to Crush 3D not working at all (even using both of my 3DSes, I couldn't get it to communicate with one another)

As far as I know, it's across the board. Like I said, if it's the last game to be activated and it's not working, it's probably due to that bug. Activate something else then try again.

Well, I tried one copy running on the Gateway and the other on my vanilla 7.x 3DS (it's now at 8.1 but this was several months ago), and still no dice. It's like the entire game's functionality is broken. I tried several things, and could not get it to work no matter what I tried.

The game's cheap enough that I could even go buy another copy just to prove that the StreetPass does not work

I don't do Gateway since I still don't trust it.

Given how hard the game tanked, I wouldn't be surprised if it was as buggy as a Bethseda game on a PS3.
