I wanted to play my PS1 games on my VITA(PSone loader) on full screen to take advantage of the screen size.... So i followed the steps on the video.... After I did so, it was full screen, but my start button stopped working completely and it would pause a game on its own.

The only thing that fixed it was having a back up file restored. and it was back to normal. You will need a back up to get it working again. Turning the console off wont work.

In short.. DONT DO THIS.

i have a Ps vita 1000

i play my ps1 games full screen mode (even Chrono cross,(beat it on the vita))
just fine
some game DO NOT like it when you are pressing L2/L3/R2/R3 (that the backpad) (and other buttons) and start at the same time
the screen might be dirty and pressing a something (you can map buttons to the screen)

try with out the grips
try to remap the ps1 buttons
make sure you are in the right controller mode as well

it might be a FW bug as well, what FW are you running

PS VITA's been hacked???

Im running 3.18. I did it just like in the video. The game i tried was Resident Evil 2..... I wont try it again.

Just tried with Gex, Twisted Metal 2, and FFVI and all work as intended, no problems whatsoever.

Either you're fucking something up somewhere or you screwed up your physical buttons.

Also, are these actual PS1 Classics, or are you using eCFW? If it's eCFW, then there's something wrong with the install somewhere along the lines, or there's a problem with POPSLoader.

Yeah.. Its ps1 loader tekken exploit. I know it seems like im over reacting, but it did happen. The start button refused to work. It would play the tekken intro and start wouldnt work.... I restored a back up of my system and it worked fine after that.

I warned i didnt want it happening to anyone else if it wasnt a known problem..... Mainly because i looked for a method to fullscreen games and didnt find anything for ps1 loader until that video...

I dont gaf about PS Vita games...can you play PSP ISO / CSO's on it now?? i've been holding out on one until this is met :P

You've been able to do that for literally years now. Like, that's been the entire Vita scene since 2013.

I believe so, at least thats the impression I've gotten on all the vita hacking threads. I personally just have mine updated because I have my PSP around to cover all of those things

(it's like running nds homebrew and roms using an old flashcart on a 3ds, it works, but it's nothing special)

It's actually nowhere near as convenient as running all that stuff on a PSP, but....the 5" OLED screen on my PSV 1000 makes PSP games look awesome.

I also think SNES9X and Daedalus run a little better too, could be imagining it.

I think PSP games actually look much better on the PSP and memory cards are much cheaper there too. A handful of 3D games benefit from being able to remap buttons to the second stick or touch screen but overall I find the PSP the much better option for everything but Vita games. It's just not worth it playing PSP and PS1 games on the Vita.

are the new ones exploitable? Like if I bought one in the same week? I know that an exploit game was required for the VHBL

All the hardware are exploitable (original vita, slim, tv), the limit is on the firmware that it comes with.
The best exploitable firmware is 3.18 (eCFW, PS1 loader throught Tekken2 with sound and proper speed, easy to launch). If you got it or anything below, you are in the best scenario.

EDIT:

I would second the "look much better" if we are talking about the PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 screens, the PSP-3000 screen is so horrid in comparison with the OLED Vita version that I still like to run them on my 3.18 vita. But between the LCD Vita slim and a PSP-3000 I would go to the PSP (I can't comment on PSP go or PSP Street screens).
And about the memory card, in PSP you can purchase a cheap microSD to memory stick duo converter and use a good microSD, it will be cheaper and you can achieve 64gb (using a double microSD converter and 2 32gb chips).
