Hacking do I even need rednand?

Rednand seems generally useless for Wii U because you will never be able to update it without bricking the Wii U, which is the one bonus that rednand would provide -- being able to update to latest FW without losing entry points

Not until the eeprom is emulated (which is likely to be possible but nobody proved this yet), right now it's using the hardware one

And your reasoning implies you don't care about custom system titles :)

We only need redNAND to keep sysNAND exploitable, so we can play newer games requiring newer firmware and not spoof-able on upgraded redNAND, I thought we established that since 3DS.

Next question would be: when will that game come out? maybe BotW? guess I'll wait until then, and that's if it really happens and we still haven't got a bootrom hack by then.

I believe most of us don't care about custom system titles.

Can confirm that using FIX94's iosuhax works perfectly, BUT ONLY IF THE DLC WAS DOWNLOADED WITH FUNKIIU!

The first time I tried, I downloaded the DLC using WiiU USB Helper, and both WUPClient and WUP Installer Y Mod refused to install it. WUP Installer actually said that it was due to the ticket not belonging to my console.
After redownloading the DLC with FunKiiU, it worked perfectly. The DLC even stayed around after rebooting my Wii U.
What about uTikdownloadhelper?
That too generates a fakesigned ticket for the downloaded DLC. Can this method work with using that program too?

It should work with any of them really. You could even create the ticket yourself and it should work provided the title key is correct.

Can i install dlc on sysnand or only on usb?
Here Super Smash Bros dlc work fine on usb.
Fast Racing Neo didnt work (title.tik bad or missing), i dowloaded "patch" from nusgrabber mod and ticket from that title key site.

but you have to boot that hax every time you want to play the DLC, right? (I mean when you turn your console on again, of course).

You have to boot hack evertime you want to play the game. Once the dlc is installed the game is unplayable without hax

Vc works fine and I'm not brave enough to try syscongtool lol
Wii VC or regular vc? (as stated i installed mario bros nes vc)
Their is a huge difference.

do you think this will "advance" in the near future to make it as convenient as USB installs that we enjoy using the brazilian method?

Yes once a proper userfriendly coldboothax is made. You could autoboot rednand or sysnand with sig patches

I've removed the part about FunKiiU being required since it was apparently just an issue for me.
Yes, uTikdownloadhelper should work fine.

Just for everyone information... if you turn off your Wii U from iosuhax, It will stay with a blinking orange light. (Yellow) and now completely shut off.. so be aware of that issue.

That has always happened with iosuhax.
Just unplug the console to shutdown.

Am I the only one who has never had that issue? I've turned off my console from inside iosuhax several times with the power button on the gamepad and the power button on the console, and I've never had it blink an orange light at me.

It happens after turning the console back on.

Maybe you don't have the Stand By options enabled?

I know. I never get a blinking orange light when turning it back on.

Indeed, I have all of the power settings disabled due to how some people were reporting getting updated even with DNS blocking if they had Standby Functions or the Quick Start Menu enabled.
