Does anyone know if it should be on or off by default? I haven't changed this option, but it appears to be on for some files and off for others. Is there some sort of "auto detect" in the firmware that sets this for you, or did I accidentally turn it on (or off) for certain programs?

if im not mistaken it had something to do with where the file savs are runned from, either directly from the micro card, or from the built in memorey on the ds, i would suggest turning it on

so it basically writes and reads memory directly from the card as opposed to sram? in which case would communicating constantly with the card drain the battery faster?
