DK Bananza = basically Odyssey 2?

We've been asking for a new 3D Mario for years, but from what I've seen, Bananza seems like Odyssey 2 but under the Donkey Kong IP instead.

There are those "Crystal Banana" things which are like moons, and they even have Multi-Bananas like Odyssey had Multi-Moons.

Does anyone else have this feeling?

Yep it's made by the same team. Has the same exact kind of design philosophy. Same menu interfaces and sort of style. I assume even the same exact engine. Cus when you move the camera through an object it does that dithering effect like in Odyssey.

It's most definitely DK Odyssey.

I'm fine with this. Means it'll probably be one of the best games on the system just like Odyssey was for Switch 1

Before the trailer, yes, but after the Nintendo Direct it's... Super Mario Odyssey 2: Donkey Kong's Super Adventure

The game looks like a lot of fun!

Nintendo is investing big on Donkey Kong. He co-starred in the Mario movie and they built a Donkey Kong section in Super Nintendo World. Nintendo is desperately trying to make Donkey Kong as popular as Mario. Bananza is their next big investment in the character. It’s no surprise they put one of their best dev teams to make it happen. This also means the next 3D Mario game is still years away.

Stylistically yes, but the action-focused gameplay seems quite different from Odyssey. Not sure I won't grow tired from constantly ripping apart the environment.

Definitely. Then again Kirby and the forgotten Land was also pretty odyssey-esque. Or the other way around, since Mario was able to copy enemies abilities with Cappy, Odyssey was kirby-esque.
