Is it worth waiting for Switch 2 piracy?

Hell No! I'll probably never buy a Switch 2. The Switch era was a turning point for me: I lost interest in all of N's franchise games because they're not getting better. The Switch Pokemon games were all gimmicks and bullshit; for the first time, I didn't want any Pokemon games in an entire generation. Even Animal Crossing just seemed kind of meh on the Switch. By the end of the Switch era, I was playing almost all indie games (Astroneer and No Man's Sky, mostly), getting into Playstation, and starting to wonder why I still have with a Nintendo console.

And this is not considering Nintendo's thuggery and harrasment of emulator developers and hackers. Even if they had stuff I wanted, I would wait to buy it aftermarket. But they don't. I hope they suffer something worse than the video game crash of 1983.

I don't think it's worth it unless you're poor and just can't afford to purchase software.
We have so much entertainment today, even from inexpensive prior generations of hardware, that I think it would be almost impossible for me to buy the Switch 2. I never even owned a Switch until I found a discarded Switch Lite a couple of weeks ago (broken thumbstick). LOL.

The price of Switch 2 is certainly ridiculous to me (as is the non-use of hall effect sensor sticks), but what is truly obscene is the high prices on the original Switch hardware models, so many years after release. Nintendo are clearly selling boatloads of them, so why adjust? No reason. But it's obscene.

I personally bought switch 2 to play latest games as soon as possible and I am being very very selective about it cause the prices of Switch 2 games are very high and they do not go on sale anytime soon and pre owned market is do not even exists here. Buying digital games full price is a crime for me and honestly, patience does not reward cause Nintendo do not provide more than 30/33% off on their games.
So, I am just gonna buy physicals of what I must play now and sell it or keep it depending on how I like the game and skip all other games that I may play later. I have more powerful systems for 3rd party games so no point in buying downgraded version at higher price on Switch 2. Like I got Cyberpunk a couple of years before on PS5 for half the price of what it is being push on switch 2 right now and so is the case with all other 3rd party games.

Your local library will let you rent games for free, if you're lucky. The one near me has Switch 1/2, 3DS, Xbox, and PS5/4 games.

the one near me has only books. One in the next neighborhood too.

I think that person was referring to American libraries, you're in another country and I guess your country doesn't participate in renting out games from the library.

As far as Switch 2 goes I'm up $2000 on poker in the last 7 days which is just free money and I still have little interest in buying one. I may never get one.

People keep talking about wanting SW 2 emulation... we already have it.
As long as Nintendo keeps putting out dual platform titlesB-)

I don't think it's worth it unless you're poor and just can't afford to purchase software. It will probably take a few years for Switch 2 hacks to become a reality and it's not worth the wait if there's a game you want to play today. You're better off playing non-exclusive games on another platform. I'm keeping my 19.0 Switch 2 locked way for overclocking because as we've seen with Donkey Kong Jamboree, games already have performance issues.
i just want to delete this comment

If you can afford to buy a brand new Switch 2 then you can afford to buy games for it so that being poor comment is ridiculous. Why buy it in the first place if you know you carnt afford to buy software for it
