Smd isn't that bad, it is possible by hand, those pins aren't bad, way better than a tsop chip
Simple enough, just show a fully working switch with that modchip you show and booting into Hekate.UF2 if you say it is so easy.

use this for flashing, the chip,
the board has exactly what you need for flashing and wiring into the switch, labeled and all
Tell you what, how about you get everything and make a full on tutorial. There isn't something like this here for the Switch where people make their own from scratch. Maybe make a video about it too.
Has that happened yet? I’ve a V2 Switch on the way and trying to source an SX Core, fitted, in the UK.Alternatively you can get the RCMX86 from aliexpress... just saying.
If we can find something like that but that replaces sx core and sx lite then we are business. There are just too many v2 in the market now and v1 are getting expensive.
Nothing yet, not that I am aware. I guess it is a matter of time, once the whole thing with Nintendo cools down we might see chinese clones of SX Modchip or maybe someone else doing a DIY version of it.Has that happened yet? Does this chip work with switch lite??Right, if a modchip were to cost 100$ sure but RCMX86 is about 9$

that's why I mentioned it.
Doesn't look too bad at all. I soldered one of these no problem and it's even smaller.View attachment 240467
It's an adafruit trinket m0 clone, uses the same exact chip
You would use the same files as you would for a trinket

That's just a package variation you can get it as a tqfp32, which I can solder
