Newest release is not working at all for me. I have 3.1 working fine but as soon as i update to newest or the last one it hangs on the TWLoader logo and I have to cold reboot. Yes I have installed nand_side cia to sys nand(Idont have emunand so scratch that). Ive tried removing the gui and nand_side titles with FBI deleting the _nds folder from root of sd and then copying the files from the latest archive to my sd and reinstalling. Exactly the same result. Oh and checked that autouptdate in settings.ini was set to 0; it was. Thought it was completely f**ked so tried reinstalling 3.1 gui and nand_side cias. Low and behold working again at least until I try to update in any way (manual cia installation or update from the gui). Then it hangs on the logo again. Any thoughts on this??? Will try to upload video later because I guess this means that anything past 3.1 is a no go for my 3ds since no one else having issues like this.

Update just tried the latest version on my daughters 3ds and it hangs in exactly the same way. Both consoles are PAL and on exactly the same firmware/CFW. Latest Luma on sys 11.2.

Try to initialize without roms :) i haved that problem before but when i took it without roms it already worked :) im not sure it will work but at least could help you :)

No that does'nt work. I deleted the whole rom folder then started. Again hangs on TWLoader logo. Did a checkdisk on my sd card and no errors. Tried from another sd and exactly the same thing. Its raining outside so gonna leave my 3DS out all night or kick it out the window. No one else having this problem. Will post video of this sh*t later if i have time.

Hey, I followed all the steps, put all the files in their place, but when I go onto my flashcard and run the ini file creater, it takes me to the power off menu. I exit and head into twloader just to find my games not there. Where are they?

They aren't added. You have to select a game to add.
Do you have "_nds/twloader.nds" from the latest TWLoader.7z, in the flashcard root?

Make sure the SD Card isn't locked.
Robz8,

the sd card is not locked.
and the system is able to write things as I can flawlessly add games from the flashcard for example.
could it be that the folder structure is missing to accept the files ?
I deleted all of it and started from the zip file just for the sack of it with no success.
I am dazzled.

Your TWLoader version is out of date, then.
The latest version is v3.2.1.
I press select and it brings me to a menu on the latest version telling me with arm9 cpu speed, and donor rom, but no add games

OK the add games feature is not working, and I'm positive my flashcard is inside the 3ds.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
