Hacking disc read error 324 backup launcher wont work

Ive downgraded wii using this guide: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=112...p;#entry1509334

Then ive installed the different cios installers: one with sonic as picture, one which says wiigator, another which says waninkoko

I still get the disc read error. I use Rivision discs at 4x and 6x speed but both dontt work.

Is this a software issue or hardware?

Any help would be appreciated

From my experience, that error's caused by the type of DVD you use to burn it with. I've tried with Memorex and Verbatim DVD-Rs using both of my laptop's DVD writers (Optiarc and TSST) and get that error every time. However, when I switched to Ritek05 (labelless) DVD-Rs, it worked perfectly on 10 games so far.

I've heard bitsetting/booktyping helps make DVDs work, however this is specifically for supported DVD writers (LiteOn, Samsung, NEC, etc).

The only game that doesn't seem to work is SSX Blur, which crashes after the safety notice, but that's been reported anyway in the non-compatibility list.

make sure you install the cios that came with wiigator. also try installing the latest r7
