I bought an used gateway 3ds. It had some rom inside.
I tried to mount a new game with win32 disk imager. It told me that the procedure was done succesfully but... now the micro sd ask me to be formatted!!! I tried on the 3ds because i thinked it was only a problem with the pc but micro sd could work fine but nothing, 3ds load the gateway but see no roms now!!!!

What i did wrong????? I tried with 2 roms now and every time it ask to be formatted.
Problem is win32 disk imager??? The micro sd works fine if i put normal files...

plz HELP im really annoyed right now guyz

If you're running the newest version of Gateway (2.3b), then you don't need the disk imager anymore. Just drag and drop your roms to your mini SD.

First you'll have to re-format the card, though. All your games will be gone, and you'll have to get them again. Just plug it into your computer and follow the instructions on-screen to get it working again.

Huh ? You don't need win32 disk imager anymore you can just put multiple rom files on the microSD
Update your gateway XD

LOL guys thank you for this good solution. I just lost 28gb of roms... my pc will work hard tonight. (lol)
You are my saviors though.
I'll update the gateway firmware so.

Format your sd to fat32 of exfat, copy the roms inside and you are done. Also be sure to use the latest Launcher.dat along with the latest GW_INSTALLER.NDS

edit: The days were you need to write a single rom to an SD are past.

This is no disaster
Disaster is when you lose all your saves stored in the 3ds SD card.
It's a nightmare.

That's all?

Pretty much, though if your gateway has never run a version of omega yet then the first time you do it will have to reprogram the cart. Nothing extra you have to do for that, it does it automatically, but there area few bad gateways out there that won't update right.

That's why you back up the SD card (or at least the save files) periodically. And actually if any of his roms were cart2, he would have lost those saves along with the roms.

I learned the hard way.
