Do you know what i think is somewhat funny? Well seeing that Dios Mios has only had around 300 or so downloads because its only in better and no one really seems to care. But when it gets a fully working release (if it does) everyone will be spamming the Download button and shit loads of threads will pop up from noobs complaining about getting it to work. It seems no one really appreciates the hard work by crediar for the WIP and made the "impossible" possible. Sorry about the rant i just think that no one really gets the credit they deserve these days.

Funny? I think that's what we call typical.... If something doesn't work for 99% of people, then the majority of people aren't going to use it. Simple as that.

You're one of those people that think it's ironic if it rains on your wedding day eh?

Yeah, the number of downloads of the precompiled version clearly covers everyone who's tried DIOS MIOS.

Nintendo Puzzle Collection is fully playable, crashes maybe once every half hour. Even the GBA linkup feature works. Video:

@koji2009, i know lots of people arent going to use it because its not finished, im just saying that alot of people don't appreciate the Wii scene.

@Vague Rant, i wonder if other 2d only games are fully playable i was playing Paper Mario for about an hour with glitchy sound and slow downs but at least its something.

And it begins

this will work 100% little by little or at least 90% (I have hardware mod for the audio anyways lol)

Despite what i said eariler about waiting until this is "safe", I have finally decided to give this a go. (once I have sorted out my external enclosure, of course.)

Guys, stop testing DIOS-MIOS with SSBM or other complex games that require a lot of texture loading or streaming. If you want to test, try smaller games:

Animal Crossing
Crazy Taxi
Cubivore
Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest
Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition
Nintendo Puzzle Collection

I imagine Animal Crossing should work perfectly as it loads the entire game into RAM and can be played on a real GameCube without the disc inside.

Apparently it crashes.

I finally managed to make this work after 2 days of reading and experimenting, I haven't tried any other games than Starfox Assault which of course we all know will work but the audio was horrible and it crashes when they followed Oikonny. I've tons of Gamecube games, I will try all of them if I've the time and will update the compatibility list.

The trouble I am having is getting SNEEK+DI to load at all after making those changes. I got my nand from modmii, I was using uneek+di but got tired of lugging my drive around to my pc so sneek+di now. Are these not the steps to make this work?
put the nand files on sd card (I: for me)
compile sneek and diosmios
I used showmiiwads to "insall" the miosv10.wad to my nand (as obtained from nus)->guess this isn't necessary, just saw it shows as v10 already...before installation
place di.bin and kernel.bin (renamed boot2_di.bin) in sd(i):/SNEEK
place mios.app into
sd(i):\title00000010000101\content as 0000000c.app (overwritting the original file)
If I do all of this I get a frozen wii, it only works again if I use the "sneek installer" to "install" it back, which overwrites both the kernel.bin and the di.bin....negating the changes I made when I recompiled it.
Can I ask if anyone knows what I might be doing wrong?
edit:
just an odd note, just did a hash check of the result of a fresh sneek compile not using the changes, the hashes don't match what crediars installer puts on my drive (which is the only way it works as of yet ...)

not sure why , but i havent had success with modmii nands either...
...i use fstoolbox to dump the real nand, works great for me evry time then.

also i used showmiiwads to install miosv10 ...but it never overwrote v9 ,
showmiiwads showed version ten but clearing looking at the files it still had v9 in there
so after deleting the contents of the folder
i had to drag the decrypted mios v10 files from nusd to the content folder , to get v10 installed on emulated nand
... maybe check that too.

I realized after a fresh download from modmii has 10 already, as for the rest, the modmii one works, but only if I use the SNEEKInstallerv0.1b5-cred to do it....after copying the files I got from modmii (or my own sneek compile) without that installer (which the kernel.bin doesn't match the hash of any other time I have compiled sneek, and di.bin matches only if I don't modify those lines) it doesn't load. If I make the needed changes and compile I can't then use the installer as those files overwrite the "changes".....

well finally got this to compile right and injected mios.app everything works fine but blackscreen on mario sunshine will dump all my GC games and report back what works

using real nand 4.2u sneek r140

on modmii nands you have to use showmiiwads to install BC v6(Database>System) into your nand. it's needed for gamecube games but modmii doesn't include it for some reason.

I have just tried using DIOS-MIOS with Cubivore game and it looks like we could delete, create and save the savegame file
in this game. So this game is playable and saveable within DIOS-MIOS (with UNEEK+DI in my set-up).

Here are the videos (two parts) to show that outcome (many thanks to crediar):

I think some people misunderstood what crediar said; he said that nintendo memcard unlocking fails, that means that any 3rd party memory card should work fine!
