I tried to start game with postloader and got black screen. Whats problem?

Probably like my issue from before, try installing a clean BC BCv6 using NUSDownloader, that did the trick for me...

On the topic, I still have an issue of slow games and freezing which probably due to a mistake I made earlier on my Wii but DML now is useless for me until I figure out how to get it to work again!

btw sorry for asking but what do you mean by "multi-disk games"? I thought games that use two disks like Resident Evil let you save your progress when finishing the first disk then you can start right from the second disk with the save file you got, doesn't this work?

No, you must swap disk in the game when playing Resident Evil, Resident Evil Zero and Metal Gear Solid.

BTW, after intalling DML r56, there is still a little occasions of reading error message. This occured twice when playing Chapter 11 of Fire Emblem.

I would like to sincerely apologise to the developers of DML for saying that the controller shortcuts was a "lazy" feature to add.

It is actually benefiting to know that you can easily get back to the Wii Menu in a simple button combination.
Especially when testing games.

If my Wii can't read discs anymore, then will I be unable to use DML? I didn't realize this until I got deep into installing everything and converting a few images, but apparently DML won't work unless there's a disc in the tray? So I tried putting on in while going through Neogamma, but it doesn't work, since my Wii keeps clicking and being unable to read the disc.

*Sigh* The whole reason I was excited about DML was because I'd finally be able to play my GameCube games, but since I need to even have a working tray to begin with, it seems like it defeats the purpose. -_- Unless I'm missing out on something here.

You can now, though discless mode isn't as compatible as the regular disc required mode. You do have to edit one of the files before compiling it though.

If you use a USB Loader which supports DML, then you'd be able to play without needing a disc in the drive.

There's two ways to get DML: compiling it yourself using the tutorial (in the tutorial section) or using ModMii (download page 4).

Hello, I have downloaded the latest DMLr56, but in this tutorial it says it is rev13. It's a huge difference, I don't know which to use.
Also, I have the RVL-mios-v10.wad and RVL-cMIOS-v65535(v10)_WiiGator_WiiPower_v0.2.wad that I downloaded with modmii, which use?

Using the CFG Loader mod and r52 or r55 of DML, the game in the drive sometimes boots instead of the game I select from the SD card. Anyone else seeing this problem?

Blurgh. I just tried getting the versions of WiiFlow and USB Loader GX that can run GameCube games via DML. When I select the GC game in either of them, it seems like they're loading maybe for a little bit, but very quickly they both just led to the Wii fully turning itself off. =/

I have a big problem here :(

Every time I save my games my memory card files corrupts.

I'm using r52 with microSD Adata class 10 16gb FAT32 64kb cluster , my memory card is original

Is it happens with somebody too? Please help me, I want to save my games :(

In Wiiflow, that happens when you don't have a disc in the drive, you could try enabling no disc:
You have to edit the Wiiflow.ini in apps/wiiflow, look for "no_disc_patch=0" and change it to no_disc_patch=1 and it will most likely work.
It was said a few pages back btw

Hum, I just tried it with a disc in the drive and it still didn't work at all. The Wii shut off just like before. =/ So now I tried checking wiiflow.ini, but I don't see "no_disc_patch" in there at all. Should I just add it, if not? And if so, should it be under [DML]? Or does that not matter?

Sorry for all the questions. @_@

It has to be an original Wii/GC disc. The no disc patch doesn't work with all games either.

It might be due to the version of BC you have installed, IIRC you need the v6 wad.
You do have gamecube ports on your wii? I don't think the new ones have the right BC but they don't have the controller ports to allow you to play the games either.

I'm still on dml r52 with usbloadergx r1156 & it works fine.

Same here. It happened while playing Luigi's Mansion. I don't know if it's game related. What I then did is simply pull out the gamecube memory card and plug it in again. It then worked again.

Can someone tell me what "BC" stands for in the dml wad creator program, I cannot find it. Also I can't find where my speed test results are in the dm.log.

Nobody but Nintendo knows for sure what BC, MIOS, or IOS stand for. You just need to install a clean version if you used the old version of NMM (made before DML).

I just heard about this recently and decided to read up on it and while I definitely want to do it, I am unsure if my current Wii will be good for it.

Does the Wii in question need to be able to have the firmware update that allows the Wii to recognize SDHC cards or rather, SD Cards 4 GB and bigger? Because my Wii currently is still v3.3 (and I'd rather like to keep it that way if possible). Also, do you need to have the game to play it? Because I was thinking of ripping some games from my friend or something as I'd rather not have to go out and buy them somewhere online in order to rip.

Finally, it sounds like there's a chance of GCN memory card corruption? Is there a certain revision where that can't occur or not? How do I backup the save files from my memory card? I'd love to read through this giant thread to find out but yeah... I don't mean to be a pain if I'm asking questions that have been answered 1000 times! I just really want to try playing some GCN games again or GCN games I haven't ever played before and this would be the only way for me to.

I have a big problem here :(

Every time I save my games my memory card files corrupts.

I'm using r52 with microSD Adata class 10 16gb FAT32 64kb cluster , my memory card is original

Is it happens with somebody too? Please help me, I want to save my games :(

Same here. It happened while playing Luigi's Mansion. I don't know if it's game related. What I then did is simply pull out the gamecube memory card and plug it in again. It then worked again.

but the problem is: My MC currupts and I lost all my files. I never see anybody warning about this :(
