Nobody but Nintendo knows for sure what BC, MIOS, or IOS stand for. You just need to install a clean version if you used the old version of NMM (made before DML).
IOS = input output system, and thanks for the answer.
That's just one guess (based on the meaning of BIOS). Another common one is Internal Operating System.

Only Nintendo knows.

I have a big problem here :(

Every time I save my games my memory card files corrupts.

I'm using r52 with microSD Adata class 10 16gb FAT32 64kb cluster , my memory card is original

Is it happens with somebody too? Please help me, I want to save my games :(

Same here. It happened while playing Luigi's Mansion. I don't know if it's game related. What I then did is simply pull out the gamecube memory card and plug it in again. It then worked again.

Thanks for the response ;)

but the problem is: My MC currupts and I lost all my files. I never see anybody warning about this :(

It's possible that you installed the DML with NMM. Since you have an original memory card, you should install the DML without NMM. All of your save files should still remain in your memory card.

I'm already using the DML without NMM

Has anyone got any tips on getting Pokemon XD to work? I have a NTSC iso which I've heard worked for some people with r52, but I've tried Wiiflow and Neogamma up until now and I've gotten absolutely nothing, just black screen, green screen or purple lines.

Besides that, I absolutely love this. Now I can finally play all the Cube games I missed.

I'm sure this was answered somewhere in this 189 page thread, but I grabbed the DMLr56 with cheat support. Do I have to use a specific loader to take advantage of the cheats? CFG USB is giving me an error when I try to track down a cheat. Thanks.

Just got DML r56 working with cfgloader mod and holy crap, it works perfectly with none of the audio skipping that Swiss had. Now I just need to find my old GBA for Wind Waker.

I just heard about this recently and decided to read up on it and while I definitely want to do it, I am unsure if my current Wii will be good for it.

Does the Wii in question need to be able to have the firmware update that allows the Wii to recognize SDHC cards or rather, SD Cards 4 GB and bigger? Because my Wii currently is still v3.3 (and I'd rather like to keep it that way if possible). Also, do you need to have the game to play it? Because I was thinking of ripping some games from my friend or something as I'd rather not have to go out and buy them somewhere online in order to rip.

Finally, it sounds like there's a chance of GCN memory card corruption? Is there a certain revision where that can't occur or not? How do I backup the save files from my memory card? I'd love to read through this giant thread to find out but yeah... I don't mean to be a pain if I'm asking questions that have been answered 1000 times! I just really want to try playing some GCN games again or GCN games I haven't ever played before and this would be the only way for me to.

Thanks for anyone who answers.
No firmware update needed as long as you also install the newest BC (Guide here : http://gbatemp.net/t...te-and-use-dml/ ) DML uses it's own SDHC support so it doesn't have anything to do with the firmware version.

Judging by the firmware version you have I'd guess your wii is fine to rip the games itself. I know a lot of backup loaders that can use DML can take care of that part. wiiflow is the one I use. or you can google "cleanrip" which is a little homebrew that can rip ISOs.

I wouldn't worry about memory card corruption with the newer versions of DML. I think you only worry if you're using NMM (No More Memory cards) to save to the SD card but I think real memory cards are fine. As far as backing them up, I would suggest SaveGame Manager GX (google it).

Edit: Actually, I'm not that sure about SaveGame Manager GX ... but I do know GCMM works http://wiibrew.org/wiki/GCMM

I would like to sincerely apologise to the developers of DML for saying that the controller shortcuts was a "lazy" feature to add.
Apology accepted. Btw guys, the SVN has been updated to 58.
-thanks for the donation request! The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker NMM fixed
-Console restart and power off button config changed

R + Z + START = reSTART
R + Z + B = power off (red button)

This only works on the first controller, and does not work with every game

With r52 and now r56 Pokemon XD works for me using cfg loader. I'd try that.

I've used cheats with cfg loader so I do not think that you have to use any one specific loader for cheats. For me they just did not show up on the menu they normally would using cfg but when I went to the game they worked.

Has there been any progress on the TriForce emulation on the Wii, also is there any way to donate toward the TriForce launcher?
Just drop a donation onto crediar and ask for it, would be the best, this is just a guess bc Triforce wasnt part of the deal but cant be wrong to try though ;)

man, if i hear of even the slightest notion that there is a possibility of a release for this from crediar, i would gladly donate.

Is it possible to add snapshot feature? I can only take snapshots using WiiRd and my Wii must connect with PC.

Changelog (r57):
-fixed a bug in the CARDOpen patch which should at least fix NMM for Zelda:WW
-removed sd card logging
Changelog (r58):
-thanks for the donation request! The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker NMM fixed
-Console restart and power off button config changed
R + Z + START = reSTART Wii
R + Z + B = power off (red button)
This only works on the first controller, and does not work with every game

It's good to see that the button combination has been changed and there's been more improvements on NMM.

Just curious, is there any way to reverse the conversion when using gci2nmm? NMM2GCI, in other words.

Edit: To be perfectly honest... I seriously don't know who is 0xD15EA5E is, but here's something that might interest ya!:
0xD15EA5E ("disease") is a flag that indicates regular boot on the Nintendo GameCube and Wii consoles.

2BH I'm slightly concerned for certain games or FPS's that button combination might not b ideal, I'm not 100% sure but MGS:TS comes to mind and might b problematic.

Thanks for the updates DML team and "O Disease" or something like that.. Hmm what about the x? I gotta have it wrong >_>

Ctr-Gcs: DacoTaco Edition 0.2b
Ctr-Gcs : DacoTaco Edition is a tool built to create or restore full, raw memory card backups and GCI save files just like the GC application Ctr-gcs did.
These dumps can be saved to restore later or be
used in emulators like Dolphin-emu. Unlike ctr-gcs however, this utility can read or write to unofficial memory cards; no matter what its size is.

The program will read & write the dump to the SD card (in the ctr-gcs folder) as MemoryCardA.raw or MemoryCardB.raw

Also please note that if you restore a corrupt
dump to a memory card, or if the program shows an error while creating or restoring a dump, you may end up with a corrupted memory card.
About Official Memory Cards:
Due to an issue with DSP & libogc ; libogc is unable to unlock the official memory cards in wii mode. because of this; the memory card needs to be unlocked from system menu first.

Who the heck is 0xD15EA5E? Just want to know since he was the one who updated to R58. Also where to download the DML.elf of the latest versions? Downloads only shows R56.
I'd guess it's someone who's just picking up the slack while crediar is too busy with Kid Icarus, and who hasn't yet received their copy because amazon sucks. Just a guess though.

There's logic behind it. Try hitting a full 'click' R and Z at the same time with one index finger. You have to slide your middle finger up to R, and index to Z to trigger it, and that's not something a GCN game designer would ever have you do.
Downloads have been updated btw. You guys do know this is a pretty easy compile, right?
