Ok guys I've uploaded the latest tools which fix a bug when saving pak files with multiple partitions in PakEditor(The script editor). PakManager now supports decompressing files but forces them to be uncompressed when reinserted.

You will need to replace the default arm9.bin with the replacement included to fix the fact that the game forces all characters in the main dialogue to a width of 12 no matter what its proper width is in the nftr.

Also, really nice, that you are also going to translate the story, I'm looking forward to the results of this project.

Yes as mentioned above, it doesn't have to be in the best font, as long as its readable no one will mind.

Sorry if its a stupid question, but is there any release of this project?

From what i've been reading, its going awesomly well, and i'm playing Digimon World DS, then going to play Dusk/Dawn... and i want to play this one too

Yeah I saw, as I was doing some corrections such as caps when needed etc. But I did notice that your using some of the Jap names for some Digimon but some english as well, was that a perm thing or was it a direct translation and you haven't changed it yet.
 
Takoman781 who is doing tha majority of the translation does not know all of the english names so that is why they are in japanese. also MaxNuker you should really be thanking Takoman781, Yugix, as well as me and Normmatt for the work because they are doing the majority of the translation. Also no promises but there may be a beta coming out in around a week with almost everything done except the story.
 
thats really awesome ! i love the digimon games and it allways bugged me when there was a good game i could not understand think there were one or two wonderswan digimin games that never got an english release as well -.- (same wit my beloved rockman.exe)

so really big big thanks for trying even if it might not be perfekt still better than never being able to propperly play the game
 
I doubt the majority of people care much whether there's punctuation or not. There's probably not many sentences that would be hard to read without it.

The updated tool is awsome, I was going to tell you about import/export but I thought it might be rude.
I encountered the problem of pak. That's why I revised MSGPAK01 and fix alot of mistakes

I almost use Digimon Japanese names, I think we must set to either Jap or Eng
 
Personally I'm fine with having all the Japanese names for Digimon, all the English names for Digimon or even a mix of both. I watched the English anime as a kid and have played loads of the games in English, but now I watch the Japanese anime and I have no issue with their names.

Though obviously the majority of people would probably prefer the English names, but I think we'd all prefer it to be out quicker than worry too much about something like the names. Maybe that's just me.

I will check with others who translate the story and get to either English or Japanese Names ( Personally I prefer the Japanese names like Omegamon, Lucemon FallDown Mode, .... and others).
 
I Still Prefer the English Names for the Digimons in this Translation because I Understand English Better than Japanese
