Hacking Did I just permanently brick my wii?

Alright, well say I DID have a NAND backup, what steps would I need to take in fixing it?

load bootmii, which has to be installed as boot2 and restore the NAND

A nand backup is not going to do you any good unless you have bootmii installed on boot2 or a programmer. If YOU got a nand backup from YOUR wii then you should have bootmii installed and then your golden.

Unfortunately many people happen to be stupid enough to do so. This is partly why I don't really like guides that include any sort of IOS60 or IOS60bf or cIOS60 wad or something like that. If it must be done offline just have it like xzxero's guide and have the noobs put an unpacked IOS60 on their SD card from NUSD and then just use dop-IOS to install it with the sig hash check. That way they get their IOS60 patched for whatever they need it to do, and they don't have such easy access to do something so stupid.
