there's no video settings for devolution.
It's only setting the video mode to either : TVPal528IntDf or TVNtsc480IntDf (only interlaced).
Some games which are compatible with 480p need to be forced or else it will not ask/set 480p automatically, but tueidj asked not to force any video mode before launching devolution.
Some PAL games can benefit from a forced 480p setting (I don't remember who tested it, probably in this thread, or in USBGX), but it's not a default option. you need to recompile the loader to detect specific games and send specific video modes.

If the game is compatible with 480p it will (should) ask the user, or keep B button pressed when booting the game to force the user's choice to display.
on a real Gamecube, the choice is stored in Sram for next launch. on Wii it should be stored too. Not on WiiU

Heh, there isn't much interest in testing forced 480p on NTSC games. I had to start my own list (it uses Qoob Pro).

Anyone know if a 64gb MicroSDXC card works with Devolution?

I know it's probably silly to ask... but I recall someone saying they tried using a card of the same size and it didn't work. The brand I plan on going with is a Sandisk, 40mb per second, and all that good stuff. Can anyone confirm whether it'll work just fine or not (or at least your best guess)?

if you format it for FAT32, it *should* work.

Tried this myself with a USB drive and SD card, both FAT32, made a rip with cleanrip, moved the iso into the games\ folder, however after I insert the disc for verification (when the disc drive is flashing), It'll just flash 9 times, then return to the Homebrew Channel, any idea what this might mean? I've attempted this stuff at least 10 times, with 4 different games, and every time it does the same thing. I don't own a USb Gecko so I can't give you any logs. But maybe the 9 flashes sounds familiar to any of you.

Batman Vengeance (PAL) on r234 Issues :

- Can't save (corrupt saves), glitched some characters (blue batgirl in batcave, glitched explosions...)

I'm having issues to verify these games with Devo r234:

"TLOTR: The Return of the King" (PAL/Spanish, DL-DOL-GKLS-ESP)
"TLOTR: The Third Age" (PAL/Spanish, DL-DOL-G3AS-0-ESP and DL-DOL-G3AS-1-ESP)

They seem to verify correctly but I'm taken back to HBC after the 5 flashes. The CRC and MD5 values of the isos, made with cleanrip v2.0, have been checked with those at redump.org and everything is matching. I do not own a USB Gecko to generate a log, is there any other way to generate it?

I can confirm the above issue with LOTR:Return of the King as well. Using latest Devo, i always get sent to the Wii menu after a bit when starting this game. I re-ripped it with cleanrip 1.05 just in case but same thing happens again. I reverted to my older build of Devo and now LOTR:ROTK runs as it should.

You're supposed to be able to use your LAN with the sample loader and netcat to packet sniff at UDP 64444 for a log, but "nc -v -v -p 64444 -l -u < LOG.TXT" (I admit it, I got "devolution Wi-Fi logging for dummies" and just added -v -v) doesn't seem to work as a setting, on the Wii's side (I know this because -v -v means "very verbose" in netcat)

EDIT: Yes, my laptop and Wii are on the same network with no firewalling - I can upload .dols for direct running with no problem, and connect to Devo for screenshots - unless UDP is being blocked, and this is all TCP/IP. But that's unlikely.

Which is why I've been having trouble grabbing a log on why Super Monkey Ball (GMBP) isn't working. And someone seemed to change the compatibility list to "works" - maybe the disc has different versions? Because my checksum's fine, on a full rip. Could you get a perfect rip from a damaged disc?

After a HELL of alot of frustration, back and forth back and forth back and forth and back and forth between the Wii and then my computer and then my Wii u over and over again i finally have my GC games working on my Wii U on USB Loader GX perfectly running off Devolution. However now something... once a f**king again... has come up, although not as serious but still annoying. Ok... originally i had a 3rd party GC controller (you've probably all seen them - the white controllers with a small start button in the middle and a turbo button and one more i can't remember off the top of my head) Well when i first finally figured everything out i started playing my GC games with that controller and it works perfectly (except the Z button but that's because it's broken) but i really wanted a genuine GC controller just for nostalgic reasons and so i bought one and now when i go to play Luigi's Mansion i get that f**king problem with the analogue bumpers again!! I unplugged it and tried the cheap 3rd party controller again and it instantly went away but then as soon as i plugged the genuine controller in it starts again. The"D button" fix still works so all the buttons are still lined up but the cheap controller has no issues with the analogue bumpers but the genuine controller does. Someone please explain this one to me???

Did you have to do anything silly to get it working or did it just work fine for you?
Nothing special, got Netcat for Windows, run it on a PC connected to the same network as the Wii, wrote the command "nc -l -p 64444 -u" and verified the game. The log appeared on Netcat's window almost instantly.
By the way, I could verify both TLOTR games (Return of the King and The Third Age) with Devo r200 just fine, but r234 goes back to HBC.

OK so as a quick question here, does devolution work with _anything_ besides fat32? or is that the only fs that's supported by it?

See, that's exactly what I did, and no log. I best investigate further on my own I guess.

Does anybody know if Devo checks the start.dol because I changed my melee one for an improved widescreen hack and it attempted to do the disc check and I can't find my disc...

I was just reading the .txt included in r234 and it reads:

- Alternative mediums as memory cards (SD / USB / NAND)

Anyone tried or know how to store a GC savegame in the NAND?

Not quite. If you're comparing it to Nintendont, Devo still has a few tricks up its sleeve for now:

1. You can play both PSO games, and go online with them.
1a. It supports USB keyboards, making you able to type in both PSO games.
2 (need to confirm and test this, I'm going from memory at the moment). It has a better widescreen hack.
3. Editing which player slot a Bluetooth controller uses is a little more intuitive than Nintendont, for now.
4. PS3 controllers can connect wirelessly.

Hence why I advocate using both if you can.
