Oh, you thought I meant actually playing the game via Devolution in Dolphin. I only meant launching the game and verifying the game via Devolution in Dolphin, and then transferring that varification to a real Wii.

Oy vey, I messed that up :rofl2: Yeah, I though you were saying that for some reason :D No, not at all, plus, I didn't think you could transfer the .dvv files from there to a real console :P

The way you make an SD card work in dolphin is by essentially making a partition clone saved to an image file. If the DVV files don't even work with that, then dang.

I don't know for sure, only the devs for Dolphin would know that, so don't take my word for it, I'd imagine it wouldn't work solely based of the fact it would be a PITA to transfer said files. One's better off using real hardware.

It's actually not that hard at all, I did it before when trying to get the Homebrew Channel working in Dolphin. Note that the program suggested, WinImage, is a 30 day trial. I recommend only running the program inside of Sandboxie so that the trial doesn't run out.

-Making the virtual SD card-

If you already have an SD card with all the necessary data, (The mod, Gecko OS, etc.) just insert that card in your computer, open WinImage and follow the steps below. If not, keep scrolling down to the text in bold.

1. On WinImage, click on "Disk" and select "Use Removable disk *the letter your SD card was assigned*". Then, still in this menu, click on "Read Disk" near the bottom.
If WinImage gets picky about not wanting to read the card, it's because you opened a folder of the card. So close WinImage, re-insert the card and try again without opening any folder such as my computer.

2. After doing the above step, a save window will pop up. Change the save type to "All files (*.*)" and save the file as "sd.raw". After WinImage is done saving, it will conveniently open the file for you.
You have now successfully backed-up your sd card and may close WinImage.

3. Now that the SD card is ready, place it in Dolphin's "Wii" folder

I think at one point I had the Homebrew channel on there, but never worked right, and I've made an SD image a while ago, never heard of Sandboxie though

I have the wii u have no way to validate my games because the wii u does not accept god. I would ask that at least on the wii u take away his check.

If someone can convince Tueidj to release source perhaps... no chance at the moment..

*sidenote: i still am amazed on how almost every gamecube runs smooth on devolution, also, verification of every gc game a trew at it went smooth with r200.

If you are still reading this tueidj, i am busy updating the compatibility chart with some new r200 test...

I can not use a wii u to check my game and it's a shame not to use it on my wii u. Because the only serious way and buy a wii for this.

I believe it with closed source, so that the games can not piratease. But many have sold their games, after verification and partly piracy. Because mock verification.

If you are going to continue talking about AP, then i sugget you post it in here > http://gbatemp.net/threads/why-add-anti-piracy-measures-to-devolution.330634/

It has been asked in this thread not to discuss it in here.

If anyone cares, I managed to got a hold of a copy of Devolution r197's loader.bin thanks to SNES_Master over at WiiHacks. You can find it in the first link in my signature.

So far not really, r169 and r197 seemed to be the latest revisions of that "group" of revisions. In other words, there seemed to be a pretty big jump in version-ness after both r169 and r197.

I'm having an odd issue with Devolution when using it in Wii U.

I already have Ripped and verified my Zelda Collector's Edition in my Wii. There the app loads fine and all the games (Zelda 1, 2 OoT & MM) boot too, but when I try to load the game in my Wii U, it stays at a black screen.

I already tried other games and they all load fine, that's the only one I have issues with. Can anyone help me?

Oh and also all the GC games I boot on Wii U have black borders at the edges of the screen, the game doesn't fit it completely, but on the Wii they do fill the screen entirely.
I'm using HDMI cables on a 32" LCD screen.

I don't get it since the configurations and everything are not modified at all between consoles and I'm using r200

Current revision is r200, which actually you would need if you wanted to use on a Wii U (which of course you aren't). While the information in the first post hasn't been updated, the download link in that post just links to whatever newest revision of Devolution is, so the download link is still correct.

If you're going to use gamecube controllers then honestly you probably won't find any difference between r200 and, say, r197. Heck some people claim that r200 actually introduced some issues in a couple games (I have not run into any, at least not yet).
