I own TimeSplitters Future Perfect and it was me that put the entry on the wiki saying that it works. It is one my most frequently-played GameCube games and ever since r168 I've never had a single issue with it in Devolution except very recently with r200, but I was using a compressed ISO which is not officially supported by Devolution.

The only two things I can think of are....

1. Have you tried it with the sample loader?
2. Have you tried it with an older revision? Link for r169 and r197: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/g5f5575im43yi/Devolution

YOU BEAUTY!!!

Tried it with r169 and it's working for the first time :D

Thank you so much! Future Perfect is by far my favorite Game Cube game. Now... It's time to split! As they say ;)

Luckily the game doesn't need the widescreen hack, so as long as you don't need classic controller support you'll be fine with an older revision.

For reference, the game does not even boot on a revision older than r168. That game was in fact the last game I owned that wouldn't boot (though Nintendo Puzzle Collection had timing issues in Panel de Pon until something like r196).

EDIT: I just realized that I don't have a loader.bin for Devolution r197. Anyone still got that?

I'm having issues installing games. It worked for my first game, Eternal Darkness, just fine...but every subsequent game, it gives me the 5 flashes then does the double flash and won't load, but Eternal Darkness continues to work fine without the disc now.

I'm on 4.3, no modchip, sample loader, real games and rips from those games...I'm not sure when it just suddenly stopped working after the one game.

Make sure they're completely clean rips by comparing your hashes with those on redump.org via something like Hash Check Shell Extension. What you describe can happen with non-clean rips, particularly if they're compressed ISOs that are incompatible or the like.

Alternatively try an older version of Devolution since r200's verification files are different from r197 and older.

All of the sudden my .ISOs are no longer verified; I haven't touched that partition of my hard drive since the summer and I was just playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door about a month ago without issues. I tried selecting a couple games from within WiiFlow using the same WiiMote I verified them with hoping that that would fix the verification files, but it didn't and just kicked me back to the System Menu.

Outside of re-verifying them all manually, does anyone have any suggestions? Some of these games I lent out so getting them back to re-verify would be a pain :/

If you updated from a previous devo to v2.00 then yes you have to re-verify them again because tueidj changed the AP verification.

Nope, I was already on v2.00. That's why I included the bit about trying to use the same Wiimote as that is a feature of v2.00. Would there be any other way...? I know the verification is pretty picky on Devolution, but it just sucks that it messed itself up like that.

Just checking in and reporting back on my issue in case it helps anyone:

Turns out my verification files are fine. I loaded Devolution straight from the Homebrew Channel without WiiFlow and I was able to load games just fine. I have a feeling it has to do with files that I messed up trying to get Just Dance 2014 to work that is causing WiiFlow to boot me back to the System Menu. I'll edit this post if I manage to get that working, but I just wanted to potentially help others out if they would have a similar problem to mine.

EDIT: Reporting back more quickly than I expected. I am not sure why, but suddenly WiiFlow cares about the Settings for the Gamecube loader to be set specifically to Devolution. I believe I had updated WiiFlow when trying to get Just Dance 2014 to work, so that could very well have been the cause. Make sure WiiFlow is set to use Devolution specifically (Auto does not work) and you'll be fine.

I have a wii u want to use this emulator, I have the games but the wii u will not let me use the original games. He says the wii need to confirm the original game, but if you do not have the wii.

If you don't have a Wii, you have a gamecube to play the game. (or you bought the game without a gamecube/wii, which is a little useless, unless you bought it specially for wiiU).
You need to borrow a Wii capable of reading GameCube discs from a friend to dump/verify your game using your WiiU's Wiimote and HDD/SD.

You theoretically may be able to use Dolphin for verification, but nobody has managed to go through the hoops to get to that point in the process. I got close but was unable to get the Homebrew Channel on it, and sure enough I couldn't get a NAND dump loaded into Dolphin either.

Of course, you could also just run the game in Dolphin itself. :P

Assuming that verification works in Dolphin, you could do that with any compatible CPU and GPU regardless of performance (basic Wii Menu stuff isn't CPU-demanding at all). For full-on game play you're going to need a half decent GPU and a pretty fast CPU, and more cores are not faster for Dolphin. Luckily the absolutely most demanding games are Wii games (Mario Galaxy requires LLE audio emulation), so the CPU requirements shouldn't be too harsh.

That doesn't answer my question as to why someone would want to though. Running a VM in an emulator is pointless seeing as it's easier to load up the ISO image instantly, without hassle. There are no advantages to running Devo in Dolphin. If there is a reason, I'd be glad to see it in such a way, if it's for testing, fine, but for general use, moot point.

Oh, you thought I meant actually playing the game via Devolution in Dolphin. I only meant launching the game and verifying the game via Devolution in Dolphin, and then transferring that varification to a real Wii.
