PS1/2 Devil May Cry 4 Question

Was playing through Devil May Cry 4 on the ps3, and after some time a screen popped up saying an accomplishment had been unlocked,. I assumed this was tropy related, but it wasn't. Where can I see the unlocked accomplishments, and what's the purpose of them?

they are the 360 equivalent of the achievement
they are pointless basically, just for bragging rights

thanks for the fast reply, is there a place I can see a list of ones to get, or have been collected? I'm just curious about them

When you load your game, all your achievements are under "My History." Atleast thats how it is on the PC version.
